He’s certainly flamboyant.
On one of the pundit bits either on Sky or BT one of the ex refs said that he was an ex ballroom dancer and is quite theatrical generally with his body movement and just general being, probably explains why he has a bit of showmanship to the way he referees.

I love Mike Dean. He’s a football treasure. The entertainment value he provides is almost like a game within the game. It’s great. He’s also not that bad a ref. Probably one of the better ones in the Prem(although thats not saying much at the moment since lately the refs have been worse than ever before for some reason)

He’s also not as ‘dismissive’ as most of the others. I can’t stand it when they tell players to go away with the flick of a hand without even looking at them.
Arrogant pricks.

In all honesty, I dont think he did anythign wrong. Obviously what happened post match I cant judge but in terms of the game itself im not sure what he did totally wrong. The corner shouldnt have been a corner yeah but it was such a close call I can see why someone would give it.

Not the man you want to have a go at because he is exactly the type of ref to hold a grudge.

Bardsley should have been sent off. Wood elbowed Aurier in the chest. This **** needs to be binned off our games.

I am sure since Liverpool were given about 15 points with clear refereeing errors they have been told to favour the lower sides.

It seems they only apply it when we're playing though. :banghead:

It wasn't about major decisions it was about marginal ones all pretty much going the other way, like he was making a point.

As much as I don't like Dean I'm more annoyed at our performance than his I have to admit.

Im not saying he was perfect and I dont like the ref, he is an arrogant prick, but my thought process is that we fucked up moreso than he fucked us over.

This is the reason why I think Poch held back in the interview after, either that or someone slipped him a Valium.
