I seem to remember reading that he was already rich via his family. He obviously couldn't find the motivation to keep himself fit and sharp

Says it all really

Wikipedia says he reportedly applied for British citizenship to avoid the draft

Caused us a lot of trouble and god knows how Levy got most of the transfer fee back (Middlesbrough = muppets again) but for some reason people have fond memories of him

Maybe just the fat jokes

He was pretty decent at football when he had s something to play for. Kinda like Adebeyor.

He’ll be the half time guest tomorrow too.

Thought I read there was a presentation for Lloris and Kane as well as something for Gilly.

His debut game for us was honestly one of the best debuts I've ever seen live. He was incredible that day. Thought we'd signed a superstar

Was that Portsmouth in a 4-3? Think I blagged corp tickets in the SE corner. Might have been a diff match though.

Remember the time he was sent off harshly for elbowing Terry??? So wish he actually did.
Rob Styles was the ref, horrible obnoxious little count who didn't give a fuck about the outcome, the fans who'd paid good money to watch a match, the players, right or wrong. As long as he was the talking point on MOTD or the papers next day he didn't give a fuck about anything else. Worst ref I've ever seen. And I've seen Jon Moss, Mark Clattenburg and Bobby Madley!

Styles admitted after the game that he didn't actually see any infringement, he just saw Mido jumping "aggressively" out of the corner of his eye.

Edgar Davids? Michael Carrick? Or not. I forget the time lines.
Davids joined the summer Kanoute left, Carrick was decent but didn't show his class before Davids had joined.

We had the likes of Davis, Pamarot, Davies, Brown, Atouba and Gardner get lots of minutes that season. Not great.

Kanoute had some of the best hold up play that I've seen, we used him so poorly. He went to Sevilla and scored 18+ goals for 4 straight seasons.

Zakora got his share of criticism but I remember after he left us he went to Turkey and played against Emre, who had allegedly made some racist comments about blacks, zakora and some of his teammates gave him a real good welcome. (Zakora or Sissoko?)

Poor Sandro- lost talent

Watched the Ibrahimovic documentary and there was quite a bit about Mido in it. He was a really big talent and was considered to be same level as Zlatan. Shame he didn’t have the discipline to make most of his career, especially in comparison.

Yeah it was against Portsmouth but the score was 3-1. Mido scored twice.
And if his waist high jump to shoot backheel from between his legs had of come off it would have been a fantastic hatrick. My then nine year old (now 23) was straight up the megastore afterwards to get a Mido 15 shirt that day. Great memories.

Wasn’t it Asier Del Horne?

Agreed on Styles, nasty little man.

Bloody loved Kanoute, great foil for both Defoe and Keane. Will never recover from us replacing him with Raziak.

Zokora, with his pace and athleticism, would’ve been some player if he could just bloody pass or shoot. I really thought he was about to finally score in the league cup final v Chelsea. Likeable guy though, and seemed to care for the club.

Sandro just wasn’t built to apply what his brain told it to.

A lot of headers and 6 yarders in there

I thought he was a good player overall, but didn't seem to take his fitness conditioning very seriously

He was great in the first "nearly 4th" season. Then Berbatov came along...
