Isn't this the kind of 'one-club' loyalty that we're supposed to be admiring and contrasting with those players who agitated to leave? Or do we do that only with the popular players?

Keep up. When they show ambition to leave (Bale, Modric etc) they are a bad example of modern footballer who have no loyalty and when they want to be loyal and stay they are just in it for the money and clearly don't have any footballing ambition.

As it's been mentioned. Tell them they're not in the 25 so won't play all season and that'll expediate things.

I'd quite happily keep Kaboul, he showed yesterday signs of returning to his dominate form. Dawson on the other hand...

Within reason.
Dawson club loyal - fantastic servant etc - but time he moved on. No point in keeping players who are past their best no matter what loyalty card you want to pin on to them. Kaboul is far too injury prone and has never reached the heights he achieved at Portsmouth. (due to injuries).
If offers come in for them and we can replace with better and that is the best for the club - then they should move on.
A Vertonghen & Mateo Musacchio (assuming he does come) - is a mouth - watering combination for a central back pairing - to include either Dawson or Kaboul in the same breathe is, errr.. less so by some margin.
If they aren't up to the standard we want to reach - then for the good of the club (and to reduce squad numbers, wage bills etc) they should move on if a decent offer arrives.

I'd assume no decent offers have arrived. They'll both be on hefty salaries which won't be matched in all likelihood. They are also both comfortable at Spurs. Kaboul's injury history will cast a big shadow over any move. I think the 'refusing to move' tag is probably rubbish and expecting them to simply bog off 'for the good of the club' is naïve in the extreme.

Just get them both out. They are on maybe a combine wage of around 80 to a 100k. Buy that Argie centre back and a forward or left winger. Don't worry trust in levy will sort it out soon. COYS

The issue is they won't leave. And we need at least one of them for the WHam game.

Kaboul took a free lick to a player after 70mins who had 3 men around him so nobody to pass to, we lost it they almost scored.

Then he got in Naughtons way trying to clear, those could have cost 2 goals which undoes all the good work. Needs to cut out his mistakes.

Do you think Daniel Levy has a games console like yours which works in real life?

We still haven't got the new guy from Villareal, I think he's coming just it's not done yet, so without these two that leaves Vertonghen, Chiriches, Dier and Fryers unless we plan to use Capoue. Get Musacchio in then decide which one of these two to ship out. We will need cover. I'd be tempted to make an assessment of Kaboul's fitness as if he's fit he's the better player. Hate to see us sell before we buy and get caught short.
