He WAS a great prospect. Successive Citeh managers have overlooked him, there are always questions over his fitness, and whispers about his "lifestyle".

And the fact that Citeh signed Sagna to compete with Zabaleta?

Citeh 3rd choice not good enough for us

I hope we look elsewhere.

I wouldn't mind Richards at Spurs, but he would be expensive cover for Walker and coming from the Mirror with no quotes and questionable logic (Sagna will instantly be above Richards in the pecking order) I'm not getting too carried away by this rumour yet.

Is he out of contract? On a 'free' with sensible wages he'd be worth a punt. My big reservation is whether he has the ambition and hunger to prove himself though. I'd have thought he would have forced his way out of City years ago if the football meant anything near as much as the salary.

With the right manager, I think he would be a good signing. Since Poch was a defender, he could be that manager. I would sign him.

I'd have to disagree with some of the less positive reactions to Richards. He has speed, power, strength and i firmly believe with the kind of coaching and confidence Pochettino gave to players such as Lallana, Lambert, Rodriguez etc he will fulfil on his promise in spades.

in the last year of his contract so a fee of 5milion would be my guess. would argue that he is an upgrade on Naughton and with his ability to play in the middle would also provide CB cover, especially if rumours of Dawson andn Vlad leaving are true. add to the fact that Younis seems to be injured we could need 3 new CBs this season.

"Kyle Naughton and Vlad Chiriches are expected to depart White Hart Lane before the campaign starts, freeing up space should Richards arrive."

Expected by whom? The Daily Mirror?!

I'd be happy with that as long as he is over his injury problems, can be an excellent right back and a decent CB cover

Would be a great buy and he can play in several posistions, he has suffered with injurys over the last two seasons but he was voted player of the year during Citys first Prem title. If he is fit then we should get him.
