One slight issue yesterday, the bench. Two right backs, two centre backs, one defensive midfielder, one attacker.

I obviously Dier, Dele and Kane were out, but we had no report of injury to either Lamela or Jansssn, surely they’d have had more use on the bench that Foyth and one of the centre backs had we been losing.

If they were injured I stand to be corrected, but if not then yesterday’s bench is perplexing.

Lamela would undoubtedly be in the squad list whether starting or on the bench if fit. Janssen was also injured. You pretty much answered your own question.

Janssen not yet fit enough according to Poch and Lamela had a minor back spasm.

Really, OGS doing such a good job so far is just brilliant for us really, as it removes any potential risk we may have faced of Poch leaving us.

Also, I know OGS has done a brilliant job so far, but I'm still not convinced. They may end the season really strongly, but I refuse to believe this guy is a genius like United fans are making him out to be.

Can you believe United fans are saying OGS is a better manager than Poch and using the fact he won trophies at Molde as proof. It's hilarious what a few wins will do. They were all desperate for Poch and said he'd jump at the chance to leave us for them, now...they think Poch is a fraud and OGS is the messiah.

Twats. It will end in tears, but not until some point next season IMO. They'll be back in for Poch in 2020 I'm certain of it.
This 100 %. I think yanited were in such a state under Mourinho that OGS has just come in and lifted the place. They have a squad worth hundreds of millions and they are playing with a bit of freedom and relief. It will be different when next season they are expected to make a push for the title and Ole has to compete on equal terms with much better managers ie. Pep, Poch and Klopp. Expectation is everything.

Commentator pre-match said that Lamela was out with a back (or hip) injury

Thank you for the clarity all and I stand corrected. I didn’t have the benefit of commentary so tend not to find these things out ahead of matches. I did think Lamelas absence especially was strange, though with Janssen I hope it was injury as, with a couple of reserve games under his belt, he’s only going to get fit enough if he starts getting off the bench, and he surely can’t be as off pace as Wanyama. I know he ain’t great, but he offers more going forward than Foyth.

Lamela, while on it, is a definite plus to the squad, but he does still miss a lot of games. I sometimes wonder how long a future he has with us.

Poch brings up the circumstances off the pitch this season and says the players deserve so much credit for the work they have put in. About time it was brought up. Love this man.

We've just got too many players in the squad with injury question marks over them for my liking, particularly as Poch likes a smaller squad. Love Erik, but surely there's some Italian team that would pay a little too much for him.

I'm not saying sell him btw and I don't think we will if eriksen goes. I just understand if the club do. He's in the same bracket as Wanyama in some respects

The Eriksen thing does make it a bit murkier, but I'd still probably let him go if Inter or Milan offered £20m. Put the money towards Brooks.

Would be a smart move. I love Lamela, and am probably one his biggest defenders on here but he just misses so much time.

OGS did an okay job with Molde - nothing more.

He won the title some years ago (before move to Cardiff) - but has mainly finished between 2-4th place.

In Norwegian standards Molde is kind of City/Chelsea - having lots of Money.

What he should be credited for is that he used most of the Money to by talent instead of «the finished article». Also his teams has been quite entertaining to watch.

He would never gotten any European top jobs at any club based on manager merits.

He is what this club should be. Billy nichs reincarnation. Pure class and a gentleman.

He always gives fascinating press conferences and I always sense his great pride, his love and his passion for our club...BUT....for fuck sake, will somebody one day, have the incredible idea of passing a mobile mike to anyone asking a question for these events like they do on BBC's Question Time, so that anyone watching on YouTube can actually hear the bloody questions!!!

Rant over.

They listened about the microphone. (y)

"We agreed on a project when I came. For the last 4 seasons, and what we have had to deal with, I am so very proud, and everybody outside should be so very proud, of what the people at the very bottom of the club, right to the very top of the club have achieved"...

To not love this man is impossible. You can just tell from the tone of his voice & the way he puts it across, he is genuinely into "the project".

I know many are frustrated because of how slow it all seems to be happening, but judging from the Vertonghen interview & then the Poch Interview, pretty much everyone seems to be on the same page.

Look around us. Direct competitors like Chelsea looking to be ready for yet another managerial overhaul, Man Utd not having a permanent manager.

We are in such a good place. (And no this doesn't require a "but if we bought X, Y, Z" response).

...everybody except perhaps Christian Eriksen. What bugs me is it can't be just about how much money we can pay him every week. I'm sure there are other assurances he wants to have agreed but we just don't know what they are. I'm sure many of the players are pretty pissed off that our stadium is still not completed, and some may be upset about us not having strengthened the squad but I for one would love to know exactly why Chris has still not committed himself his future to the club. He is a crucial part of our plans in Poch's heart and I'm 100% sure of that.

My apologies, I haven't yet watched the Vertonghen interview may be more is revealed there, I'll have to check it out.

Isn't it horrible not actually knowing what's going on with Erksen. Many people think they know, and they write as if they did know, but unless you're actually on the inside of the negotiations, they don't know anything. I mean no disrespect to anyone who may really be ITK on this subject (genuinely) it's not my intention to upset anyone on here...but theres an awful lot of utter bilge being posted on social media from all and sundry which is patently nonsense.

I suggest the answer to your problem is to give Social media a miss. the vast majority of it is just made up or opinion dressed up as information.
