Think even IF he thought we would sign anyone, he wouldn't come out and say, we are going to buy 1-2 players.

But yeah, I don't get my hopes up that's for sure

He would do what he normally does and say it's 'possible'

Literally everyone hanging their hopes on us signing some players next month as a clue to whether Poch is being backed, it's absurd.

If we don't sign anyone then next 6 months are going to be horrendous on here lol

People need stop going on about poch needs to come out and say he’s staying. Right now levy will be loving the speculation that going around. You can’t buy this free exposure that the club is getting right now. I would guess we will keep it going for as long as we can. Chill out people otherwise you’re in for long few months.

- A massively larger fan base
- A massively bigger club with far more prestige
- A chairman who isn't afraid to back his manager in the transfer market to the tune of almost half a billion pounds

We shouldn't kid ourselves and pretend Poch is all about the project. He loves a project, but he isn't afraid to leave one. He's done it twice already, and Spurs > United represents a similar step up to Southampton > Spurs.

That bald bastard needs to firstly swallow his pride and take a financial hit to ship the dead wood out of the club in January, and secondly put his hands in his pockets and sign a couple of players the manager actually wants.

If he fails to publicly back his manager for the second window running, it should come as no surprise to anyone to see Pochettino at United or Real next summer.

Do you think the Glazers would hand the new manager a bottomless pit of cash to spend on new players after having wasted hundreds of millions already with the last three muppets who've managed the team?

I don't agree with you either about how Daniel Levy finances the club and the new stadium and I think phrases like 'swallow his pride and take a financial hit' are way wide of the mark. Basically, NONE of us knows anything about his modus operandi but most of us think we know every tiny detail about what goes on inside the club, and inside his head. We make stuff up because we believe the utter crap some fans come out with or we read in the press, which amounts to pretty much the same thing.

Maybe you have personal issues with Daniel Levy, I don't know, but you sound very bitter about something or other.

Ferguson once said that he was interested in Modric but didn’t bother because he and David Gill didn’t want to take on Levy again.
Ed Woodward v the boy Levy.......No chance. If Poch really wants to go it will eventually happen but I don’t see him walking out. He’s not the type to do it.

Whichever way this goes I think it will play out much quicker than we think. It is pretty untenable for Club A to hire an interim manager with a view to taking Club B's manager at the end of the season if they are in the same league and competitors. Levy and Poch will have to privately discuss this quickly. If Poch does want to go then it can't drag on for the rest of the season. I think Poch will confirm to Levy that he will be in place for next season but they will not respond publicly to the interest from Utd, however intense the circus becomes.

..and I'm sure he'll stay for a couple more years yet.

Suddenly the idea of Poch going to Madrid doesn't annoy me as much...I would feel physically sick if he left us for United.

Ladbrookes wouldn’t give me a price on MP still being at Spurs at the start of next season. They rang through as well.
What’s the saying ?, bookies don’t get it wrong.

The Glazers wont be worried about handing over wads of cash to the new manager as it wont be coming out of their pocket because of the way Utd are structured financially....

I love the frenzy that all the other clubs fans and journalists with obvious agendas are whipping themselves in to. They literally are over come with happiness at the thought of us losing Poch. They hate that we’ve broken the top 4 barrier.

This is a very big moment in our history I think. If Poch tells Utd to do one we will be able to say that we are one of the big boys now and we’re here to stay. If Poch goes then we will have to take our place back amongst the also rans and accept all the backlash that comes with it.

So Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is the manager until end of season. Why would he leave Molde and take a temp position for 6 months. What does he do afterwards? I think ManU will appoint ZZ as manager at a later date and Ole will become part of the coaching staff. I assume Poch (if he were adamant he wanted to go there) would want his coaching staff meaning no position for Ole.

I remember a lot of panic back in April when he refused to confirm he'd stay on for this season. What was the quote - something like the project will go on 'with him or another'. I think he speaks quite loosely about things for whatever reason and it's not worth worrying too much about if everything continues to go well.

That said I'd be gutted if he went. However I do wonder what would happen next - Spurs will be in that stadium and will have the squad. The badge is still bigger than any one name and all that.

The odds at a bookies are nothing to do with how likely a thing is to happen but about maximising profit. If amillion people put £5 on martin jol being next manager at utd the odds would be incredibly low.

C'mon, no disrecpect to Molde but they are a fart in space compared to Manchester United. Even if it's just as an interim it's the chance of a lifetime for Solskjaers career as a manager.

He’s going back to Molde after. They’ve basically loaned for 6 months

Lol. So the only reason the media are all over this is because they hate us and want to fuck us over? Nothing to do with the fact the most supported team on the planet are looking for a new manager and poch is favourite?

Can't help thinking if United were as big a draw as they and the media think they are they wouldn't have had to appoint an interim manager at all.
It will also be interesting to see how they explain it when they don't get him.

United is a very big draw but the truth is they were spoiled with Ferguson. Like him or not he was an exceptional manager and kept them humming along for 27 years. Now the board actually has to work and are finding out how hard he is to replace.

Why is Poch favorite though?
