Walker obviously knew City were seriously interested in him in March/April. The words "it's decided" tell me he knew City would pay what it took to get him.

I think it shows a real lack of respect to the club, his team mates and Poch to act that way whilst we were still fighting for the title. He deserves all he gets.

Some of you are such precious little flowers. There won't be one word in this book which hasn't been sanctioned, in writing, by the subject to whom it refers. Not one. If there's a passage about Harry Winks going for secret midnight trips to Five Guys because he just loves how they cook chips in peanut oil, he will have legally authorised it.

You really think our club, who keep everything so watertight, would allow Guilleme Balague to just waltz around the training ground with a notepad and free reign to talk about anything without getting it authorised first? I imagine every on record conversation that took place did so with a club liaison officer, maybe even Donna Kenyon, present.

Yeah, I've got over my initial suprise already.

Wow what an over reaction from everyone on here, talk about snowflakes. Jesus.

Let's imagine Pochetino's comments about Walker are 100% true without nothing added. Walker served 9 years and didn't really give any comments about transfer rumours. Spurs got 56 million pounds because how Walker handled the situation! So thank you for the years and professionalism is this? Let's face it, why would someone like Dele Alli if he wants to move next summer be quiet? If he's quiet and Spurs will get max transfer value for selling him there's a huge chance manager will tell his story to world and player is the bad guy. "Thank you, fuck off you snake."

Some people just can't see forest for the trees.

  1. The phrase is 'wood for the trees'
  2. Dele himself has contributed to this book, commenting on his relationship with Pochettino.

I wasn't planning on booing him from the comfort of my living room when we play City, but now I definitely will.

I might even get a 'Kyle Wanker' banner made up for the occasion.

So after almost 10 years service it's acceptable to speak like that about player who always gave 100%? You can check, 9 years is a lifetime in football. If you look our team that beat Liverpool 4-0 six years ago there no-one left. Everyone gone years ago (except Walker who moved last summer). Let's see how many from this team will give same amount of time for Spurs as Walker. Believe or not year 2022 there won't be many. After leaving they are all snakes and manager can say anything about them according you.

Some people like you are missing common sense and knowledge of human nature. "Gone so who cares". :ROFLMAO:(y) Asperger people (nothing personal against anyone) are rising because internet? Saddest part is that a few of them doesn't even know they don't have social skills and won't understand how people's mind work.

Aspergers, really? There are some horrible things said on forums, but using mental health disabilities as a mechanism to belittle is really, really low Database.

DO NOT CREATE ISSUES WITH THE BOOK, THE ENTIRE CLUB READ AND SANCTIONED IT!

Sometimes things that seem innocuous at the time, look ill advised with hindsight.

I would question if the club sanctioned the timing of the release of the book. Wouldn’t be surprised if they were lead to believe it wouldn’t be released until summer 2018.

I must say I'm never really happy with anything that brings unnecessary attention to our team, especially midway through the season (unless it's positive attention, obviously) but if Balague was there for the season, Walker would've known so would've been well aware that the way he went about things would become public eventually, especially the way Balague works.

Has to be Lennon or Kaboul I reckon re the Mourinho chant.

OK , so do we think Walker will not make a response ? and if so, we expect that to be perfectly in line with the club's best interests yes ?

Mou gonna sit on his hands y'reckon ?.... Maybe he'll congratulate Poch on the honesty at Spurs perhaps ?

To turn this another way . What could possibly be the upside of revealing all this now mid season . Poch short of a few bob ?
doesn't feel famous enough ?

Not in the best interests of Spurs the club imo .

Of course it will have been signed off. But you can know that and still think it isn’t a great idea.

In the same way I hate players being pundits when they still play and the current season is active, this kind of stuff just seems fundamentally a bit iffy to me. Calling it Brave New World when we’ve won nothing is itself is just open to ridicule. It’s small time.

There’s no reason this couldn’t have been released in the summer. Other than that they think it will sell better now. Which doesn’t seem like it should be the priority for us
