It's such an important point that Poch makes about players not wanting to come and sit on our bench when they know it's gonna be hard to get in front of a current first eleven player. Our issue is that we can't offer to pay 100k pw to convince them to be a squad player like Chelsea did with Batshuayi or Man City with Danillo.
And do we want players who are happy to come and sit on the bench and aren't up for the challenge? I sure don't.

I saw poch trending on twitter and got a little scared. :clown:

Luckily it's just a slow news day and is referring to this story.

Are you a real person?
either a parody account, or maybe that TURKISH fella couldn't remember his login so created another one.
Not a parody.....a warning. Some people think all our players are happy at THFC!!! Players want to win things & however you look at it WE ARE NOT WINNERS! We have a good team whose players are on frankly crap wages. Things are a changing people. You can mock but we'll see this time next year if we have Harry, Dele, Toby, Eric.

the total lack of ambition show in the transfer market for a slide that finished second with the stated aim of pushing on further is not solely down to the tight arse Levy but that MP is struggling to understand how he changes and then manages the side and the squad to be better?

nope, but I think this abject failure of a transfer window to date is not on this occasion solely down to Levy

Everyone wanking themselves dry over Kane and Winks should have some semblance of understanding that Walker-Peters and Onomah are seemingly given genuine chances prove to Poch that he doesn't need to buy.

So it begins. Start a season with a few injuries to key players, no new signings.

How many times have we been here? Wouldn't be shocked to see us lose away to Newcastle (as we always do) and get spanked by Chelsea.

Towards the end of the season we will all be looking back and going "But it's just 2 points difference."

I find it impossible that there is nobody in world football within our reach, that would improve us, that is affordable for the club. It makes literally no sense.

Do we actually have any scouts?

who would you replace in the starting 11 and lets be honest who we can afford and keep within our wage structure (remember we are a well run club not an oil rich one). I can honestly say maybe just maybe Trippier other than that everyone we sign would have to be a back up as i wouldn't want to disturb the awesome team we have.

I know there's a lot of daft panic going about lately, with equally daft and over the top postings, but this is something I do actually agree with and something that, hopefully, can be legitamately discussed

I would have thought that they'd be at least 4 or 5 pre-scouted targets for every position in the squad, whose clubs could be contacted in the close season, a price agreed, wages agreed and then one of our targets would become a Spurs player

Not sure what the hold-up is to be honest

That's how I used to do it in Championship Manager (y)
