I agree and I don't believe we have sacked any manager for those reasons.

Plainly there were other factors. I have doubts that, in another industry, they would have been permitted to trump results.

Unpleasant and biased article . Caretaker managers treated as full time ones to bump up the numbers ... The real possibility ignored that AVB walked out of the longest managerial post in his career with us .That other clubs have changed managers more often is forgotten too.
There's a pretence that Spurs are the same size as clubs above us and a denial of our progress made towards ambitious goals .

Then again ,these days you don't get clicks from being reasonable or sensible...all has to be at the extreme ,because y'know folks , clicks are everything .

I think that Harry was sacked in part because the board had expected him to get the England job. Had gone through the interview and assessment process for his replacement . When he didn't get it they had to certain extent talked themselves into replacing him. A victim of his own self promotion.

The manager who should have been given more time was Jol, considering what he had done for the club.

Re: AVB I felt sorry for him considering the hospital pass he received in trying to integrate so many new players but the team were on the verge of crumbling apart and he looked done . In that respect Tim steadied the ship and did a good job. Clearly in Levy's mind however he was always the caretaker manager and it was Sherwood who pushed for it to be permanent.

To be fair to Levy, Harry has gone on record as saying that he feels it was Lewis who was behind his sacking.

Going by the ITKs, Lewis has certainly been more involved in the club these last few years.
If he sacked Redknapp - and I think he would have been particularly sensitive to all the tax evasion publicity that Harry was attracting - then it follows that he probably had a big say in the appointment of playboy millionaire AVB. Not many of our managers get invited onto Lewis' yacht or look more at home on one after all.
Pochettino, best mates with millionaire banker of the billionaires, Nicola Cortese, may also be a Lewis appointment. It would not surprise me if Levy preferred FdB and why we get so much conflicting insider information.
