3rd choice goalkeeper is such a strange position. They're probably never going to play, so do you go for a cheap option to just be a back-up, or spend a bit more to try and increase competition?

I wouldn't want to spend £12M on the Newcastle guy either way. I'd rather spend £10M on Heaton and let him battle it out with the other two for the no. 1 spot.

Dubravka is better than Gazzaniga but if we need a 3rd goalie, we should sign Dubravka’s teammate Freddie Woodman. Could be Hugo’s heir apparent

Wasn't this guy a bit of a disaster against us last season?

He made a horror mistake from Son’s shot, other than that he had been very good. He had an excellent season for Newcastle and although we’ll remember his mistake against us, Lloris had his fair share of howlers last season to, yet he’s still a world class keeper.

Dubravka is in the bottom half of starting GKs in the league in terms of quality. Very erratic. The signing makes no sense on so many levels
