Another game that shows we need upgrades at FB (both sides)

Despite being a CB, Foyth played well at RB and also did well covering the CBs.

Wasted the moments we had in the match, and good chances at that.

Don't think either team played well. City seem to be getting really tense as the end draws near, Liverpool wont go away, and are literally inching their way to the finish line. We clung on and kept in it but predictably had very little energy as the game wore on.

Well shit. City were pretty shit today and on Weds Son would have scored 4/5, football is abit weird sometimes. Id accepted a battering going in and I feel like we dropped 3 points.

Decent effort. We would never take a loss before the game but 1-0 keeps our GD decent

Not going to complain. Had some chances to grab something but it was not to be. Good result when you consider how ravaged this team is right now.

Going head to head with most expensive team in the world over three games with missing key players and doing well all things considered is a great sign. This group when healthy can play with any team in the world.

It also emphasizes the need to push on in the transfer market. One world class midfielder and a few depth pieces perhaps allows this team to challenge for title next year. Will that happen however.....

Most apparent thing that that was the difference in quality between the referee today and the referee in the week, Sterling took an entire minute out of the added time and the ref blew dead on the four minutes.
They must get reviewed differently in CL, Oliver is always good in Europe and loads of CL refs have shockers in their own league too

Not quite sure what to make of that, before the game I thought we would probably get smashed 3 or 4 but we had so many good opportunities it's hard not to now be disappointed with at least not getting a point. Definitely should have had a pen as well.

At least our gd didn't take a big battering.

Son should of scored one of his chances, Eriksen definitely his.

At least our GD hasn't suffered, that would of been significant.
