Manchester City have been awarded a place in next season's UEFA Cup via the Fair Play league.
I doubt it will save Sven's job. I am glad we don't have a nob like Thak Shiny bankrolling our team, I was annoyed enough with the Jol treatment. Can anyone remember the last time Man City were in Europe?[/QUOTE]
2003-04 I think.
The commentator during the ZSP-GR final the other night mentioned summat about it.
edit:
UEFA Cup
2003/2004 Venue Played Won Drawn Lost For Against
Home 3 2 1 0 9 3
Away 3 2 1 0 3 0
Neutral 0 0 0 0 0 0
Total 6 4 2 0 12 3
Under KK at the time, went out in 2nd round without having
lost a game !
we can`t qualify for UEFA but they can ,
WELL DONE JOB Mister SVEN
And we would have gotten the Uefa cup place over Man City if we had not won the carling cup anyway...
So we qualified twice!!!
Screw city, lets stick our reservs or accademy in, instead

I think that is the most ignorant comment ever made on this site, if not in history.
Not only did we qualify, but we qualified twice, and ahead of City in the Fair Play League where they got their spot.
Nothing personal, I'm sure you're a nice, clever lad.
It's so annoying, they weren't even top of the fair play league, there might as well be a European place for best kit or most loyal fans, its terrible. We had to do so much to get into Europe and then City do because of the fair play league. Maybe if they put more tackles in and risked getting more cards they won't be thumped 8-1 by teams like Middlesborough anymore.
