I posted two years ago that I watched a Bordeux league game and it was dross from both sides but there was one thing of quality and that was him.
I'm not sure Barcelona helps anyone improve I doubt they worked with him much at all, not like Poch would.

It's a bit different, Lucas was first team for years, until psg decided to buy the 2 most expensive attackers in history.

And Malcolm joined a team with Messi and Suarez, maybe he shouldn’t of but it’s the same problem, the worlds best attackers playing in your spot, Lucas at least had some time at PSG without that.

I just get the impression with Malcom that he's precisely the type of player Poch is keen to avoid. Back when we were in the mix for his signature he chose the glamour of Barca and has produced nothing. Poch now seems set on proven quality, hence him supposedly turning his nose up at Tielemans. Joining Barca was a weird decision from Malcom so it's easy to reach the conclusion that he's not properly motivated or that he seriously over-rates himself. I doubt we'll go after him but could easily be wrong.

Genuinely saw Malcom and his entourage eating at McDonald’s in Ibiza old town two nights ago!
Couldn’t believe my eyes.
He must be frozen out of their squad if he’s galavanting around with a game on Saturday!

I don't know that he chose Barcelona, he chose us the year before but Bordeaux changed manager and blocked any move then when Barcelona came in for him with more money the next summer they accepted the offer and in all honesty can you really see any player turning them down holding out for a move to Tottenham even if we had still been in for him which we weren't.

I don't see players turning Barca down but then again I think so many players are naive when it comes to making career decisions. I think agents push them where they get the best returns and some of the players careers never recover. In Malcom's case. I think there was a high liklihood that he wouldn't feature much.

I agree many players are not well advised.

Another player can that could potentially be available for 30-35m (according to the oracle that is The Sun) is Nelson Semedo. The massive problem is his agent, mr Mendes.

Edit: And this is regarding that Barcelona probably want to offload a bunch.

I thought the sun wasn’t great for transfers, then it nailed almost all of ours, some out the blue
From what I can tell, they’ve been bang on lately.

For example, last summer they mostly spouted the value of fuck all, while we signed the value of fuck all

The Sun have a few real decent journos but they literally post every rumor they hear so you have to track and hunt hard to find what has been researched and what just an intern wrote while flipping through twitter for ideas.

Is any one paper actually any better than others? As far as I'm concerned they all talk shit until they get it right
It's less specific papers and more specific journos I trust. But the Star has no journos I trust. Not a one.

It would be great if someone with time could track who first broke links with players we signed before - way back when! - so we’d know who to trust for decent sources in Poch era.
