This is probably the only position in the squad where we do have sufficient strength in depth. Doesn't make sense this one, so I'm guessing it's just a lazy press link based on our past interest in him.

i know dembele did this, but maybe malcom also
Agree, I have heard plenty on Dembeles rather poor training attitude, staying up late playing FIFA, eating take away and turning up late but can't say I have heard much bad about Malcom. Wouldn't surprise me if he did. Do feel sorry for him, I'm sure he was sold the dream and ended up being sent to b team.

For what it's worth, as much as we don't really need a WF long term. Considering our injuries etc, I would be all for a loan with a reasonable option at the end of it. As long as the financials were okay it could be a useful move.

If we're going for loans I'd rather get a CM (who though?)

Wouldn't say no to Malcom however, particularly if Kane's injury is severe.
He's not got the physical presence of Kane. More of a similar player to Moura with some play making and some wing play.

Yes I know. :)
I was thinking more of stuffing the team with a bunch of AMs thus negating the need for a striker :woot:

I hope we're keeping a file of all these players who were of interest to us who subsequently disappeared into obscurity when they got their 'dream' move (usually to Chelsea). Would be handy to show said file to potential signings in future.

Look a great player for Bordeaux

If its a loan deal... then worth a go cant be any worse than GKN who takes up a spot on our bench now and then, also with Son away and could need a rest when back and Moura still out could work to our benefit

As a short temp option this would be a good pick.

Brazilians with English names, Malcom and Arthur at Barca with Fred at Man Utd

Bernard at Everton, Jo formerly of Man City, Oscar in China, Allan at Napoli, Charles at Eibar F.C., Wesley at Brugge, I could go on and on, easier than their full 6 worded names....

And of course...Hulk.

Side Note: Wesley at Brugge is actually a beast, and is a striker whose progress I would monitor closely...

Malcolm is a Levy signing if the price is right, went for the dream move, surplus, young with resale value, ticks all the boxes really. Just not the position we need right now!

I saw via reddit that Brugge fans had said we had scouts at a few of their games to watch him. Seemed like it was public knowledge to them.

I may be mistaken but @Hercules comments last January window led me to believe that we were in on him then and thought we would be able to get him in the summer. Then his value skyrocketed.
