I want a team that is solid defensively but attacks with purpose. I want a manager that improves players individually but also as a unit. I want a team that has a plan b and c and maybe d.

I don't expect top 4 next season but we should be there or there abouts.

Lamela needs to be a key feature. We also need a new left back.

I want us to follow Liverpool and hire a sports psychologist. I also want a manager who can turn this group of individuals into a team. I want the manager to fix the defense, to get a new left back, and to start finding the best role for Paulinho. I want Holtby to come back, and to play in a 4-2-3-1, with Eriksen and Lamela in an attacking trio. I also want Chadli to interchange with one of them as often as possible. I want to try Soldado in front of that creative attacking trio, and see if that is what he needs to start scoring.
I also want Lukaku.
And I want Tim to not be manager.

I just want the stadium built.

I think LVG will sort out the footballing side quickly. 3-4 class signings this summer and we're back in business.
A centre back, two fullbacks and a striker.

Surely top 4 has to be the aim.

I would like it at the expense of Arsenal. We are owed by the footballing gods.

1. Fuck sherwood off, bring in LVG

2. Sell Danny Rose to Hull for 5m, bring in a much, much better LB in europe for the same amount.

3. Sell Dawson and sign Joel Veltman

4. Sign a top class LW

5. Sell Adebayor and sign a goalscoring target man

6. Slap each player in the face and tell them to grow the fuck up. Give LVG the time to put his winning footprint on this football club

7. Back the fucking manager.

Build a 60k plus capacity stadium and sells the club to a mega rich Arab. The latter will also ensure we are not called a Jewish club !

I want a sensible, logical managerial appointment who the players and the fans can get behind.
And the stadium to be finally sorted.

Some very hopeful wishes in here, as well as some very realistic and solid reasoning. @bobbof is the best of both, hoping for a sports psychologist (great idea) and Lukaku (just never gonna happen, but I'll be happy to procure you a beverage if it does).

For me, aside from all the obvious things that have already been said in here (new manager, new tactics, new back line additions), I want:

a) The new manager to absolve the high back line. It cannot be more obvious that it compounds so many of our problems.

b) A dynamic, true DLP/BTB player to be identified with such a role in the squad, be it from our selections already available (most likely Holtby and/or Carroll) with focused work or a new acquisition (Clasie or Kovacic). This, along with opening up the field by enacting a) will do wonders for attack improvement, defense improvement (unpredictability -> better possession -> better defense), and even team psychology as I think the players will genuinely enjoy playing with this squad much more. We have not replaced such a player since Modric left, and it is absolutely time we do so or we will see no improvement from the boring and ineffectual play we have seen this season (propped up by a world class superstar last season, so it wasn't as apparent).

c) Got to bring in a LW ready for immediate impact. Absolute must, and is a situation that is criminally underrated by many folks here. Eriksen is playing there because we have no comfortable left wingers for this league (Chadli needs to play throughout the center IMO, including striker), and it's a way to keep our best player on the pitch while Sherwood gets to keep his idea of the optimal center mid in the middle (boring, predictable, always lateral). This is another position we have failed to address even since Bale went inverted. Mind blowing to me that in all the spending over the summer, we failed to address both wide positions on our left side. For the price of Lamela, we could've bought a quality left winger and left back possibly even with money left over.

d) I want to at least see a concrete plan in place. It was very apparent that as of last spring that Liverpool had finally clicked (including after two crucial acquisitions) and would be a threat to the top four this year (in fact, I'm looking forward to collecting on some bets I made that Liverpool would finish above us and Man U below us). A good plan such as theirs would not be hard to see, and I want the comfort that must arise as a result of it.

The irony of point 1 where you started and point 7 where you ended is actually hurting me physically
