What the fuck is up with this?
Only signed for betis in April? How does that work? Why sign permanently and then decide you wanna go somewhere else before you've even got to work?

If he's so good, why weren't all these teams in for him at £20m from PSG instead? Was there a clause he and PSG signed that said it would be permanent early in the loan spell?

Its a bit like the Jovic from Benfica to Frankfurt to Madrid deal I think.

Lo Celso I think was on loan to Betis and Betis knew he would be worth far far more than what they had agreed they would pay PSG. So Betis paid what was agreed knowing that they could sell him for circa 50m profit.

But why did he sign for Betis if he thought others were interested? There must have been a deal all in place when the loan started that no one could get around.
If so, good business by RB.

Transfers are a two way street.
he is obviously keen on us
but.....[/QUOTE]

But £88,000,000

No way we're doubling our record transfer and making one of the biggest in English football history.
Either it comes down £30,000,000 or more or it ain't happening.

I think there was a deal in place already... a deal to buy him at an agreed price which obviously seems to be lower than what he is worth. Good business by Betis

Going above £60m for Lo Celso would seem to be a bit of a gamble for me. Although to be honest, I don't know a lot about him. Anyone know if he is worth it?

For me, I think we should be going all out to get Tanguy Ndombele over the line. Then start thinking about other positions. Assume Lo Celso would be a direct replacement for Eriksen if he heads off to Madrid. Alternatively, I'd be looking to get Isco included as part of any deal for Eriksen. Plus offer to take Bale on loan as well to do them a favour.

I'd also be considering Tielemans and yer man Cengiz Under at Roma for the right money to sort the flair positions out. Sell Tripps and buy Wan-Bissaka and we would be looking good for the new season without not a lot of extra outlay.

Apparently Roma want 44M for Under.
