Poor old Hugo is gonna have any overall rating skewed by the woeful defending that has been put in front of him.

In reality he is better than Hart, Mignolet and Forster. On a par if not better than De Gea and Courtois.

We knew De Gea would get the media love in and has been very good and Courtois too...
Hart gets the English vote so to speak and likely gets the vote due to performance vs Barcelona, Forster for the fact he has had a pretty decent season.

Mignolet though, i mean the rest I can see how they came to their flawed conclusions, but MIGNOLET????? He has been dross.

Hart and Forster don't really deserve to be considered better than Lloris, they are perhaps having better performances recently, but overall they are not as good. De Gea and Courtois are very good, but Lloris is their equal.

it's not the first time sky have done a poll about the best keepers and left out lloris. Also, by reading the comments lloris wasn't even included until people were questioning where he was

It's prabably based on goal conceeded though (or at least that stat will formulate whose top dog), in which case is probably about right.

Mignolet has the biggest amount of clean sheets doesn't he?

Where as Loris hardly has any clean sheets.

This shows more about the teams defence that individual ability of a goalkeeper.

The more our players are under-rated the better... Last time people acknowledged our great players (Bale and Modric) they got big heads and left. If it means he stays with us for longer before Sky start selling him to Man Utd or Real Madrid then I'd be happy he stays off these polls.

As you say, it is a flawed logic to use when determining how good a goalkeeper is.

Won't stop them from trying to poach Lloris. Just cause Sky is fucking stupid don't mean bigger clubs see it that way.

No but if sky don't push the agenda of how great a player is the fans don't start to clammer to have them as a galactico in their team. All the media hype makes people take note and start watching the players more and then the media circus starts going into over drive as we have seen with Modric and Bale.

He's top 3 with Courtoise and De Gea. Any of those 3 could be intelligently argued for IMO.

No competition from the rest.

On what basis? Hart is proven at the highest level, and Forster has been pivotal in Southampton's prolonged spell of top-6 form which puts them on a par with us.

Lloris is great, i bloody love the guy, and has certainly had a hard time behind our back four but he's not flawless. He's certainly behind de gea and courtois imo, and should study how supreme the former is when it comes to kicking - the only significant flaw in Lloris's game.

But if bigger clubs were to be interested and that got out, it would get into the media, people would then start watching Lloris and then realize how good he is. It would merely delay the outcome. Clubs don't base who they purchase by a telecommunications company.

On side note, Forster has had the benefit of having best defence in front of him. Had Lloris had such protection he would be a lot higher I reckon.

Hart De Gea Courtois is a strong argument. I like Lloris, think he's world class but so are the above including Cech.
