I don't know if spurs let him down his now playing at hull in the EPL so if anything we helped him get a foot in the shop window.

Indeed, there is probably a youngster in Hull's academy getting told the same thing about breaking into the team.
Not sure on the Mason thing either, 3 years ago we had Luka and Scotty so im not sure how Mason was going to get in the side, Mason also had a ton of injury problems so quite disingenuous from Jake there.

Must be a sad day to leave your boyhood club but there a worse things in life than being paid 10s of Ks for kicking a ball about. Same probably goes for Caulker.

Jake has made a good career for himself but was never good enough to be a Spurs regular.

Three years ago is only stretching it a little. He should have been given his chance during AVB's first season when he was injury free. Instead he was given on start in the League Cup and then loaned to a French club where the coach refused to play him because he had not been consulted on the decision.

The President signed him didn't he? bizarre loan move.

He genuinely seems disappointed he didn't get more of a chance at Tottenham which is good to see, he shows passion, desire and a strong work ethic. However, we did blood him to EPL action and he did earn that cap playing with Spurs.

Spurs haven't done anything wrong, the simple fact is, at that stage in his career, he was decent for us but definitely on ability wasn't close to being in the starting 11. Hence why he has moved to Hull for first team action. 8 million was a good price for the player that he was when we sold him.

I have a soft spot for Hull with Hudd, Daws and Livermore playing for them and I've always had a respect for Steve Bruce (great player IMO).

As he supports us I want him to do well, but if anyone has been let down here it is us fans having to watch him put in clueless performances chasing the ball like a dog in the park. From the Tim Sherwood school of tactical discipline.

Can't fault the boy's tenacity and drive on the pitch but if we want to be a top club we couldn't have him in the starting lineup each week. Frankly, you weren't/aren't good enough matey.

Seems a bit harsh on tottenham. You weren't really good enough to play for us, Jake but best of luck at Hull.

I think he should have been given his chance not sure if Capoue is really an improvement

This is the thing, as a defensive screen is Capoue actually better than Livermore? Is Fazio better than Dawson? Davies better than Rose? We've signed so many players in the past 2 summer windows and these players ar3 not actually much improvement on the players we already had.

Decent player for us as a DM, played with more heart than a number of the current squad (and we needed more of that v Newcastle and other games), although its certainly true that some of the current squad have better passing (especially forward passing) skills.
