I have a feeling this might end up being embarrassingly empty if they insist on only showing it on the existing screens. Surely they've got wind of the issue by now? Enough people must've asked them about it and I'd be amazed if they don't have someone who browses the message boards from time to time to gauge the current opinion of fans etc.

I mean... its a tenner. Worst case we could do a SC meet up in the concourse somewhere?

I think rather than get my ST seat, which is east upper and has a bollocks view of the screens, I'll wait until the members window and chance my arm at the Park Lane.

Honestly don't know why they don't slide the pitch back and let everyone watch from there. Cost I guess. A tenner for everyone to go in and just watch the screen is an easy revenue win for them.

Same debate in a WhatsApp chat I’ve got with some mates.

As people have pointed out, if the capacity is full and the view is shit then the club could have some serious safety issues with people from the upper tiers abandoning their seats for the bars.

This could cause, at best, horrendous queues/inability to get to the bars. At worst it could cause crushes.

The only way to do it properly is to put a cube of screens on the pitch, as Madrid did a few years ago for their fans.

Could always do a SC social, but then we’d have to actually talk to each other which would be uncomfortable and weird :sneaky:

I genuinely think they are gauging interest before considering something like that. They aren't stupid. They probably don't want to commit to something like that if only a few thousand show up and it is unnecessary.

You'd hope they'd have paid attention to what Madrid did.

At the same time not having a big central screen probably costs them a few sales too, but it's still less of a risk.

I feel like now they’ve announced the entry fee and the fact it’ll be on the screens, it’ll all be costed based on exactly that, and they won’t change the plan.

Assume they’d need a contractor for the screens on the pitch. Time, money etc.

It’s just weird they’ve not given themselves an extra week before setting it in stone.

Agreed, seems like the Madrid tickets have been a real problem and delayed things. I wonder if THST has spoken to the club about this and brought the screen issue up. They would have been prioritising Madrid too.

There’s a reply to a Tweet from them saying that they’ve mentioned it and waiting to hear back.

The tide has now turned in our WhatsApp group to watching it in a bar/home, and it’s basically all to do with the screens.

Would imagine most groups are going through the same discussions.

Ours is more about fans at different levels of membership, haven't even got onto screens. If there's only 20-30k there I reckon everyone has a decent enough view, but if we get nearer to full capacity central screens will be needed. I wonder if that's where the club is with it. Big screens only, but if attendance reaches a certain level they have to consider other options.

So both no sales to non-members and no screens on the pitch, despite full capacity!

The latter is simply a stunning oversight. I helped organised outdoor cinema nights with huge screens and massive sound systems within weeks and for dirt cheap. If I can do it then Spurs sure as fuck can.

Maybe you should go down to NWHL with a fishing rod and 4-pack and see if you can help out?

Desperate to go to this and take the parents who are both massive Yids...

Unfortunately I currently have a four day old baby who will not be ready to be left alone with mum all night by the 1st!

No general sale to non members, that rules me out then

That's fucking joke about not going on general sale.
Presumably their fear is that non-Spurs fans cause trouble. Why not just do what they did with the big games when we were at Wembley and make it available to those with CRN active in the last 5 years?

They need screens on the pitch like this otherwise it will be quarter full and the concourse will be packed

But members may be able to buy guest tickets.
I'm now thinking , however, that this isn't going to be worth the risk of getting a rubbish viewing experience.

Maybe everyone should email the club and raise concerns about just using the 4 screens? It's a crazy decision, there is no way everyone in the stadium can sit down and view those screens so it makes the whole thing pointless. How hard can it be to get this right?

Trouble with that is that it is a chicken or egg scenario. For me, I can't really see me applying until they announce better screen options.
