My youngest has decided she wants to donate her hair to the Little Princess Trust, and also decided to try to raise some sponsorship too, to help a friend of ours who's been really unlucky with cancer and is relying on treatments not funded by the NHS to survive.

She'll donate the hair anyway, but it would be brilliant if she can raise funds to help Julie at the same time.

Any donation gratefully received.

Hi, my name is Evie. I am planning to donate 10-12 inches of my hair to the Little Princess Trust. They give free wigs to sick children, who have lost their hair due to treatment. I got the idea when my mum was diagnosed with cancer. I felt that it was my duty to help people like her.

I would really like for you to sponsor me because I grew up with a boy whose mum was also diagnosed with cancer at about the same time as my mum. Sadly, her cancer spread and there is currently no cure, only treatment after treatment. Her name is Julie, and she is struggling with her on-going treatment and needs to try alternatives, which come at a price.

I would love you to sponsor me - not just to help sick kids, but also to raise money to help Julie, mum of two boys, with her fight against cancer.

What a great girl you are, Evie!
