Daniel Levy is not a man to sit back, do nothing and expect Tottenham to continue to punch way above their financial weight.

If true, my brother in law is gonna freak! This man is a genius and the brains behind Juve's transfer strategy, which has seen them win 6 titles in a row.

Shit stirring before we play Juve? Maybe...

But if there is some truth in it I would assume he'd be working under Poch and Poch already requested a DOF.....

I wonder if Levy is sufficiently busy trying to deliver the stadium development that he wants some trustworthy assistance with the transfer market.

As someone else has already observed, there's no bloody way he would pursue this without Pochettino's prior approval;.

I had a little dribble down below when I read the final line.

"Spurs would be unstoppable if they had the best recruitment man in the business on their team."

Daniel just loves the Director of Football role doesn't he? Who, out of the few DoF's we've had have worked out, except for maybe Frank Arnesen?

Most teams have this now, but don't call it dof. There' usually a group, including the manager, who go through transfers. The manager going solo with transfers is s thing of the past

You can argue all have served a purpose. The trick seems to be appointing and dismissing at the right time Levy has been pretty good with that.

I don't think he's ever wanted to do the transfer negotiations hence repeatedly employing a dof.
