Of course the use of words/expressions matter. It’s how we understand and get meaning. Anyway, pointless discussing it, we’re never going to agree.

I understand what you're saying. However whilst he may not be for sale now, he almost certainly will be in the summer unless he signs a new contract. Come Jan 2020 he'll be able to sign a contract to move on a free summer 2020.

I totally agree. It might get to the point when we have to sell him. Hopefully these ongoing 'talks' he's having with us is a positive sign that he's prepared to stay on.

Talksport, a quality news provider with well informed writing staff:

"The two clubs have a good relationship and have sanctioned a number of transfers between each other during the years, including Gareth Bale, Luka Modric and the loan signing of Emmanuel Adebayor."

* Their definition of "a good relationship" is probably not the same as most Spurs fans definition of it is...?
* Adebayor was on loan at Real from Man City. And then he moved to us; City even had to pay a substantial part of his wages during his first contract with Spurs just to get rid of him. Real Madrid had absolutely nothing to do with Ade´s move to us, other than that they didn´t buy him after his loan spell there.

Talking sport they may do, but thinking or knowing or understanding sport they don´t.
