I was there yesterday. Horrible and sluggish response. Supposedly it’s EFL protocol to carry on a game of the field of play isn’t directly affected but this is a barbaric interpretation - with clear communication that a man was having serious cardiac issues being waved away repeatedly.

Did I see that the ref wouldn't stop the game and the people trying to attend to the bloke had to run around the outside of the pitch or something?

Yeah in the east stand we were telling stewards to get a defibrillator as people around the supporter were signalling for CPR. After about 2 minutes of nothing being done by the club a guy jumped over the hoardings and spoke to the linesman who ignored him. I saw the guy gesturing for CPR and pointing to the stands. He was grabbed by security and led out of the stadium. Another couple of minutes past, and a guy ran onto the pitch and went directly to the referee and spoke to a few players. Again he was led away. Then fans in the north stand got onto the pitch and sat down, and only then did officials start making space for the man. A few minutes later the emergency services arrived. Constant booing from the crowd at the ref and players as they continued. Players and officials were looking like they were going to carry on, even as CPR was being delivered pitch side. It was traumatic and the feeling of desperation and frustration at those who held power was really palpable.

That sounds awful. I'd expect much better from the club after what happened to Justin Edinburgh.

@TheChosenOne Looks like Orient are 16th. I prefer whichever table you were looking at 😀

Edit - I wonder if it's something to do with the abandoned game? Those three extra points would move them 9th.

Haven't been keeping up with the O's action, holiday, health and bizzyness. Apologies.

Today Orient enter the FA Cup first round at home to Carlisle United.

Hope you're ok TCO. I went to the game today. It was a decent enough performance and they deserved the win. I was surprised by the low turnout though. Only about three thousand there with two of the stands closed despite cheap tickets.

Yeah I’ m OK, just can’t get rid of a cough I have had for months- makes me tired.

Been busy doing nothing as tje saying goes- looking after the Mrs and being the family taxi driver - good job I dont work anymore.
Surprised at the low gate - bit too early to be blaming Christmas but when games come thick and fast something has to give I suppose
