The funny thing is, it won't.

agree, I was being sarcastic. it boggles the mind that with all the problems they have the first order of business is to blow 80 million on a pretty good CB when they could have got the much better Alderweireld for 25.

They have always struggled to find a LCB who's left footed which may explain the inflated transfer fee but laughable when de ligt is going for £67m and they could've got Toby who is fine at LCB

If you'd told me they had £130m to spend this summer I'd have been worried by blown on two not world class defenders has got me licking my lips at top 4

Solskjaer has disciplined Lingard for that video he posted. Quite rightly in my opinion.

Good for him. If I were OGS I would be looking to offload Lingard tbh. His mentality is pretty much a caricature of everything people hate about modern footballers and he's not the kind of personality you have in a winning dressing room. He's a bad influence on the young players as well, in particular Rashford, who would do well to distance himself a bit and knuckle down.

He's also not really all that good, imo.

A worldy against the likes of Panama is about all I've seen him do that's impressed me.
I remember a United game against Everton under Mourinho where Lingard was unplayable, and he was along with Pogba and Rashford a shining light in Ole's first few games. But those games have been few and far between his entire career.

Plus he's 26, which is an utter mindfuck considering how he behaves.

Bleh... even a James Beattie can have one good season.

Agree. When players like that are in your starting 11 then you're not going to be competing for titles. His average at best ability combined with his absolutely woeful attitude make him absolutely toxic IMO. Like I say, I wouldn't want him in the dressing room and certainly wouldn't want him anywhere near the young players, who he seems to be weirdly matey with despite being much older than everyone thinks.

Hmm...
Been reading stories that Ashley Young got quite alot of booing from the man u fans during their friendly against Inter. Any idea why? Quite surprising. Man u is adored over here and the surrounding countries. Did he do something wrong? Or was it juz down to poor performances last season?

Really not good to see and hear about.

Can’t believe inter are willing to offer that kind of money for Lukaku. United must be desperate to get rid and along comes a mugging club to assist them.

United fans have went from "were shit", "we are contenders for 5th-8th" to "we can challenge for 3rd and if we have a good run we could win the league". All from buying a good defensive RB, a decent CB (if they get Maguire) and selling Lukaku (the only guy guaranteed goals). The levels of delusion of how far they have fallen and the Glazers/Woodwards incompetence is astounding.

Personally I think the Glazers are starting to feel the pinch of the mountain of debt around United's neck, sure they are still a money making machine but their debt hasn't decreased at all since they bought them.
