Let's All Laugh At... Let's all wonder what's going on at United?

Im not sure if even agree with the good approach thing to be honest. I think he did in terms of basically not being a grumpy mourinho type to stop the rot but that wore thin fairly quickly already last season. I've said before he was the perfect "get him in till the end of the season" type but he offers very little other than that IMO. Hiring him permanently was just another cock up by Woodward I reckon.
The approach I'm talking about was to get rid of all the ego types and dead wood and bring through/sign more youth.

I think that is what the club were crying out for as they kept signing all these names on high salaries and big fees only to be stuck with them.

Unfortunately for him, they've not completely had the clear out he'd have hoped for.

I agree they need a clear-out but I think that's obvious to everyone and isn't exactly some kind of stroke of genius from OGS. Plus, as you say, so far they've achieved nothing of the sort even if that was Ole's intention. The worst culprits are still there and the ones theyve shifted haven't really been replaced in any meaningful way IMO.

Unless the likes of Pogba suddenly decide to show up week in week out and the young players like McTominay and Rashford suddenly turn into world beaters, I just can't see how they can possibly finish top 4 this year. It will take them being greater than the sum of their parts but so far OGS has shown absolutely no idnication of being able to achieve that

Their fans are all jerking off to their performance yesterday but that was the weakest Chelsea team I've seen in a very long time. They will be properly carried away until it all comes crashing down again.

The funniest part is OGS face everytime Utd score, it looks like he has no clue what he's done and he's amazed that it worked.

They still need quality in midfield but they do have a lot of pace up front which we saw yesterday can really hurt teams.

Maguire will make a MASSIVE difference to them, totally transforms their defence they're gonna be in a battle for that top 4 with Arsenal if he stays fit IMO.

I think the blueprint of Utd will be counter attacking football, I see them quite difficult to break down but teams like us and City and Liverpool will expose them because they don't have a great midfield and will constantly give up the ball, they'll struggle going forward against teams that sit back because they don't play to a pattern. The games where it will be interesting and the true tests for them will be against the likes of Wolves, Leicester and West Ham, teams with decent midfields who aren't likely to give the ball away.

I do like the back four with Wan-Bissaka, Maguire and Shaw in it. Not sure which centre back would be first choice alongside Maguire, Lindelof is currently playing but still needs to prove himself.

Their midfield is still proper iffy though with Matic seemingly legs gone and Herrera off.

Rio Ferdinand says he's happy that they didn't choose to sign Dybala as he could be another big signing on the way down.

Two things.
1.) When your club states that it didn't feel the player would be completely committed, then that has been spun from "I don't want to play for you." You didn't choose to not sign him. HE REJECTED YOU!
2.) If you had have signed him you'd be telling everyone how United are still a juggernaut in football and how Dybala is the player to bring titles back.

I really wish we'd have signed him as he'd have been such a statement signing but not only that it may have made some of these United fans realise that actually he just wanted to play for a team on the up.

If their defenders are all fit it's as good a back 4 as anyone really (although Shaw is not great). Their midfield is mid-table standard at best and neither Martial or Rashford have yet to prove they can hit 20+ goals with any consistency so they will likely struggle up top also.

They will end up top 6 but probably outside the top 4.

I think Maguire will have a similar effect as VVD where he takes over the organisation of the back four, and suddenly the second CB's look better.

Smalling, Lindelof, and Bailly are all OK defenders but fall apart under the pressure of being the senior CB. Following Maguires lead, I expect them all to offer a bit more.

However, I expect United to struggle when they can't just hit teams on the break (which will be half their Prem games).

I read that sarri can't even guarantee him a CL squad place. Why are they forcing him out?

Plus rio needs to accept that utd don't have the pull anymore to lure anyone they want.

People treat Twitter like they’re posting in poorly managed forums where anything goes. They should learn that there are consequences.

I do hope it doesn’t discourage PP from taking any more pens

On social media no? Most utd fans these days aren't even english.

Disgusting though. Fans should support their players even if they fuck up. Abuse, racial or otherwise is not warranted.
Don't go in an SC match thread...
