West Ham's Manuel Pellegrini targets European spot next season

Headline from Skysports

Why do they always get so carried away after one result?

Do they not realise a shitload of teams in the prem have beaten us this season? Some of the shite I’ve read after last week is amusing. You’d think we’re detined to fall off a cliff as a club and they are going to go from strength to strength!

To be fair, it does say target and I guess a top 7 finish is a target of sorts. Right now though, outside the top 6 who are so far ahead of them, I’d put Leicester and Wolves comfortably ahead of them, Everton too. Can argue Watford are slightly ahead of them also.
Crystal Palace are of a similar standard. You’d chuckle if you heard Hodgson banging on about Europe.

Agree. Leicester, Wolves and Everton all have better squads than them and are more likely to keep their key players IMO. I'd say a 10th/11th place finish is about par for West Ham with the current lay of the land. 7th not impossible but would take the aforementioned teams fucking up for it to happen.

West Ham fan at work sent me that.

I do find that the majority of them know their place.
I find the middle aged, and older ones do, and are self-depracating generally.
It's the young ones who are dicks, and who think they're just behind our level as a club.

I spoke to a bloke outside whl while I was hanging around before our game with them (?). He was a West Ham fan who used to be spurs but he changed to West Ham as he lived in Upton Park. Nice bloke. I told him to keep his voice down.

Can we just take a minute to remember the time when Spam's shirt sponsor (XL Holidays) went in to administration, but instead of supplying unsponsored shirts the kit man just ironed off-colour claret squares on to their shirts?

Ahh, the memories.
