Sure this will have been posted at the time a couple of years ago, but just for shits and giggles take a look at the lies their fans were promised before they moved into the London stadium:

Just feel sorry for the fans. Loads of decent Wham fans out there. No one deserves to be lied to like that. Just another example of modern football prioritizing profits over fan satisfaction.

by the way riggi don't wanna make you even more angry, but we don't usually do well when we play near my birthday, unfortunately Saturday is my birthday

It’s my birthday today so let’s hope both our birthdays bring good luck!

The Birmingham fans did say the Gold/Sullivan team would be asset stripping from the moment they got into The Boleyn Ground.

I tend to agree. Despite what we might think about their fans, the club still means as much to them as Spurs does to us and going to the Boleyn was a huge part of their identity, and probably the identity of their fathers and grandfather etc. etc. It's somewhat funny because it's them and they've always been the but of a lot of jokes for Spurs fans, but from a neutral perspective I think it's a disgrace that a couple of random suits can come in one day and just rip out the heart and soul of a club and replace it with some cheap-and-cheerful alternative in order to make a quick buck. It's bad enough what they've done, but when you look at all the complete and utter lies that they told in advance of the move and still continue to try and blag to this day, it really is a disgusting way to treat the supporters and the whole of the "community" that surrounds the club. I can't even begin to imagine how I would feel if all this had happened to Spurs but I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy, whether it be West Ham, Chelsea, Arsenal, or whoever, these clubs all mean so much to so many people and it's not right that all that can be destroyed by a handful of nobodies to turn a profit.

You're spot on there, OZ. Rivalry, tribalism, being the enemy of this club or that club all still fall within the larger province of football. The likes of Gold, Sullivan and Brady, Becchetti at Leyton Orient, Cellino at Leeds - they're shills. Nothing more. And they play with clubs that are often the heart of whole communities. It's disgusting.

Exactly. I think with this kind of brazen "Fuck the fans and the club, let's make some money" attitude from various owners is something that affects all football fans. Even if it's not happening to your club right now, the fact that it's happening at all means that one day it could happen to us too. I genuinely think this issue is something that should unite all football fans to try and stop it happening. Whether it's some dodgy as fuck gangster like Cellino, a complete nut job like the Venkys, a ruthless businessman like Ashley, or a couple of clowns like GSB, these owners and the seeming lack of any kind of protection for fans and their clubs, is a massive issue for all football fans regardless of who you support.

He'll probably give me nightmares!!

Ok where do I start? Well first off I’ll point out that half my family are West Ham fans and they’re good people (ish). I also work in Stratford and live in a Tottenham/West Ham area.

As a club, no problem with them really. Fan wise I can’t stand them. They turn up every game against us and sing their anti-Semitic chants (more than Chelsea) and just generally try to take the piss.

The thing is with them is they never have anything to lose. No real expectations so if they lose to us then it’s business usual but if they win then it’s line the streets and take the piss as much as possible. They are to us, as what we were to Chelsea. They hate that we rate ourselves and love every opportunity to prevent us from doing anything.
Off the field shenanigans there’s a big thing but that’s not really to be talked about on here nor do I take part...

You see the points you made, take in the points you made, agree with the points you made, and instantly sit back fully understanding how & why so may many of our supporters are so very desperate to see our own owners replaced.

Sorry mate, you've lost me there. Possibly too much sun frying my brain over the easter weekend but I can't tell if you're agreeing with me or slagging me off

It will be interesting to see if Brady shows up at new ground and will she acknowledge the difference in the stadiums. If she doesn't then they really are bitter and twisted. It will also surely highlight to West ham fans when they come to the new Lane how they have been done over.

I'm basically taking a very cheap and pathetic shot at those who constantly lambast our own owners & demand they get out of the club asap.

All of the posts I quoted were pointing out how poorly other clubs owners have ripped the soul out of clubs without a second thought for the supporters.

Nobody can say that about our own owners & perhaps looking at what's unfolded at the clubs that you & the others mentioned in the posts I quoted, I think it's pretty easy to see that, despite shortcomings our owners are guilty of, things could be much, much worse.

We'd have been out of business for one thing.
When we got away from Sugar and were really lucky with who we ended up with.
I'm not a fully fledged BSoDL but it could have been so much worse

I'm not what is described as a BSoDL but am able to understand that the club he runs is unrecognisable from the one that he took over. And I'm unquestionably grateful for it & will always give him the praise he deserves for the transformation he's brought both on & off the field.

I've vehemently defended our owners & the way they've run this club, often much to my own expense on here/the internet, especially when defending the spending/transfer policy. But I've done it with a consistent stance, fully understanding it was all being done whilst trying to finance, design, construct & deliver the stadium that is now very much the talk of world football.

However, now that's been accomplished, Mr Levy & Mr Lewis have nowhere to hide, or excuses to give when it comes to on field investment.

They obviously will not instantly reap the rewards that the new stadium was built to bring but, in 6/12 months time, if we're not truly behaving like the other big boys do, I'll be joining in with the questioning of our owners.

The "Upminster Axminster"
Having spent my youth in Upminster, I can confirm that all the Ax[e wounds] I encountered were not carpeted.

I thank you.

NB: Of course, I'm actually a virgin. I purely made this comment to feel like one of the lads, if only for a second. I felt part of the group - almost accepted - while typing it.
