We're in a much, much better position though. We have a style of play and players wanting to play for the manager. I'd rather be us right now than them.
I agree, I don’t want to swap I just don’t think we are anything special.

We are a work in progress and it's still very early days. Despite that we now have a clear way of playing under a new system and generally it's getting results. Considering the mess we were in over the past couple of years we are in pretty good shape. Had we not had the injury problems and that Chelsea game hadn't got two key players banned then I'd say we would easily be sitting in 4th place right now and possibly pushing for 3rd. We might not be anything special yet but we are a very good side.

Contrast that with United who look like a bunch of individuals with no clear way of playing with a huge hole where a midfield should be and an uninspiring manager. We are miles ahead of them right now.

The guardian pointed out that against Liverpool, referee Anthony Taylor made as many interceptions (2) as united's midfield trio combined :ROFLMAO:

Just seen Onana putting vaseline on his gloves yesterday...explains why they don't try to catch the ball much these days.

I thought that looked odd at the time, there must be some reason for it?

Shanks, what’s this all about and why am I still getting my lad to water his gloves?!
Maybe I should just give him a bar of soap instead 🤣

they should follow Tom Brady's deflat-gate route. Anyone who's tried to kick one of those deflated Mitre balls from the 90s know you can bearly get the thing of the floor let alone make it roll into the goal.
Even thinking about 8-year-old me trying to kick a Mitre Ultimax breaks my toe.

I headed an underinflated Mitre ball back upfield when playing centre back at school in the late seventies. PE teacher criticised me for not directing the header but it didn't really register due to the concussion.

Thanks for bringing back memories that were long lost (probably due to concussions). Yous guys (Y'all) should have tried to play with what we had to use in the States back in the 70s pre Mitre. At least an 8 on the Moh scale even when dry. And no, things weren't so bad here that our pitches were uphill in both directions. Our world was rocked when a couple of our teammates brought back Mitre multiplexes over. That ball was pure magic compared to the small boulders we had been using for years.

You haven't experienced the true joy of football until you've lined up with all the other parents and players to do a pre match dog shit and broken glass check on a British public park pitch.
