They're down to 3rd after today's defeat. They're going to go out and spend £80m on a new DM now aren't they? Probably add another striker as well.

Haven’t their biggest problems been their English contingent? Walker and Delph will be replaced with the next English hopefuls and all at a very large premium

Reckon they should make a bid for Liverpool's 7 point lead

Yeah, and if they don't replace them with English players they won't be allowed to fill a 25 man squad. They're like us in that regard, they've reached their foreign player limit.

But who can they get? The biggest RB prospect is Alexander-Arnold (why the hell would he leave Pool?) and the biggest LB prospect not at a top club is probably Chilwell at Leicester, who is talented but not at that elite level, at least not yet.

Ask them if they fancy trippier for £50m?

I'd be more worried about Pep seeing potential in KWP to be honest. And that's not just based on today.

Good luck to them, he just signed a new contract and they need English players, levy would probably get a world record for out of them!

Listening to the way a lot of players talk, they seem incredibly affectionate toward the boss and regardless of Pep's reputation this far if we keep performing and rivalling Citeh in everything but wages, I don't see why he'd leave right now. We've shown that, contrary to the way we've been just a few years ago, MoPo decides who stays and who goes. Walker was too disruptive an influence by the time he left, if the stories are true, and was more interested in the wages than being a Spurs player. Alternatively, Rose spoke out but knuckled down instead of kicking up a fuss and has looked immense since.

Poch appears to have a pretty good grasp on when to keep and when to sell, and he's making a great impression on our academy players.

Can’t see how they can complain of lack of defensive midfielder as they have Gundogan who can play the role.

What’s happened to Fernandinho - has he got a bad injury?

Can’t stand them as just wrong how much they’ve spent on players (although would probably still prefer them to win the league than Liverpool mind if had to pick between the two).

Because if City win it doesn't really count. I know a long time city fan and he hates how everyone just dismisses all their achievements as not counting because they are just in cheat mode.

Brilliant isn’t it. If the win it’s discounted. If they lose it’s rubbed in. It’s not like Chelsea And United did it with buttons and money off coupons.

Man United spent money they’d generated themselves from being a massive club though and also purchased sensibly.

Man City have just thrown ridiculous money around (especially summer before last).

Chelsea initially also did the same although have calmed down a bit in recent times but I probably slagged them as much back in day (although can’t remember that far back as memory but what it was lol).
