I remember the excitement of the Magnificent Seven and I remember threads praising Liverpool's mass business last summer. Both overhauls didn't bring immediate improvement.

I guess the difference this time is Liverpool have done it without losing a star player. At least so far, they could be losing Sterling though he is not at the same level of ability or importance to the club as Bale and Suarez were.

Ings, Milner and Clyne will be solid signings and I'm not going to guess at Firmino. They were at the same place I had them before any signings, our direct rivals at a similar level.

In relation to my post in the other thread, why should we be particularly worried about a team that is once again ripping up most of the squad and starting over again? They've gone from "we're not doing a Spurs" to doing it twice.

In contrast we could end our incomings now and be stronger than we were with only 1 replacement in the starting line-up.

They had a bad season last year because they had 6 players who had to gel into the team, looks like another 6 who have to this time around

Buying Benteke now if the reports are correct

Given they play with 1 striker am not sure how they are going to keep Sturridge, Ings, Benteke, Origi and Balotelli happy

Have they sold Lambert then?

It's more than just gelling a team together, if it was that simple you'd expect them to of picked up towards the end of the season and they just kept on getting worse.

I know we haven't always spent our money wisely but to spend over £100M and still have to play Glen Johnson in 28 games last season is funny as....

So now the 'let's all laugh at Liverpool' thread has a poll about whether we should be concerned about Liverpool?

I know, but I think this is one of those times where a thread merge really doesn't work, and frankly looks embarrassing.

Let's laugh at Liverpool :ROFLMAO:

But...should we be worried about them? :nailbiting:

Oh right got you, thought you were genuinely asking. Bit of a strange merge especially how long ago the thread started.

Can see him as our 31st of August Levy last minute panic buy tbh

If that was to happen because we'd missed out on better targets for whatever reason I wouldn't be too upset with him as a cheap last minute option that can play and hopefully score a few in the cups.

Obviously id like better but I appreciate you don't always get what you want and it's not just down to levy being tight. Sometimes what you want isn't available or doesn't want to come.

It really pisses me off that various news sights talk about Firmino as being £21m possibly rising to 29m yet Soldado is constantly referred to as a £26m flop when i believe it was £13m possibly rising to £26m.

Massive upheaval yet again to replace the massive upheaval that failed last season. Much prefer being in the position we are now in comparison, with a mostly settled lineup who actually know each other.
But mate, they've got a plan. They ain't gonna do no Tottenham.

He'll be gone by December. Have a feeling some of the the buys were klopp buys.

I know plenty are reluctant to give Rogers any credit but that's reaching a bit!!!! Probably just knows he needs a seriously good window.

I don't think he's a terrible manager but he is comedy gold.

He' s a gift that just keeps giving and in partnership with lolpool you just know we are in for a giggle or two whilst he remains in charge.
