They don't really have much cover at FB on either sides, can't imagine that both Trent and Robertson could stay injury free like last season.

To be fair, Trent didn't stay injury-free last season.

He missed five games in a row in January and February.

And Liverpool couldn't replace him with another left-back because that managerial genius, Jurgen Klopp, loaned out his only other specialist in that position the week before.

Still, it's not as if this decision cost the title, is it?

Well, actually, it did.

In those five games, Liverpool dropped six points, due to three soft draws with Leicester, West Ham and a pisspoor Manchester United team.

Had they won but one of those, they would have been Champions.

Yet this lack of cover - in one of the positions key to how Liverpool play - meant they just missed out.

Shame. :D

Still, try telling a Liverpool fan that they lost out in the title race because Klopp fucked up and they just don't want to listen...

Maybe it would help if more of us tried to get this point across... :sneaky:

Thought palace were looking at him, hardly got a look in last season so don’t see him being a loss to them.

They haven’t entered the transfer market have they which I find is a bit strange. Hopefully it will arrogantly bite them on the arse.

Agreed, I think they are weak outside their normal starting 11 and they got extremely lucky with injuries last year

Think they might find it harder this year with front 3 playing in Copa and ACN ovsr summer and played alot of games with no major injuries last season. Not to mention the penalties and off-side goals. Hope we can be the team pushing city this year.

Outside their starting front 3 they have Origi, Shaqiri and Brewster not good enough IMO, I generally think they'll struggle this season, their luck with injuries won't last, I don't think they'll be close to 1st or 2nd place

It quotes that it wants to protect 'the supporters “from those benefiting from inauthentic products”.

The irony here is truly a thing of beauty. Surely that is 90% of their fan base.

hmm...

Seems like liverpool wants to trademark the word "liverpool"

I wonder how the writes of the site felt was writing the story.

Not good. Who decides what is football related? Lawyers. Liverpool fc will use their lawyers as a weapon challenging other businesses that they don't approve of. Instead of having to pay hefty legal fees to fight it smaller companies will probably give in, even if they were not in the wrong.

Fucking ridiculous. It's like when one of the big film studios tried to sue Valencia because the bat on their logo was infringing on their copyrighted Batman logo, despite the fact that the bat has been part of the emblem of the city since hundreds of years before comic books were even a thing.

Didn't Arsenal close down some poor shop in Spain or something as well because it had the word "Arsenal" in the name
