So, this is the thread where we can all laugh at Liverpool, right? I can't be alone in laughing with a sick feeling in my stomach at the antics of that little scrote Salah in the game at Cardiff last night, for his penalty. OK, so the defender had his arms around him gently, but as as soon as both men got over the line into the penalty area, Salah does a weird 'dying swan' type of backwards dive without any provocation and the idiot ref gives a penalty to a stunned crowd and a horrified defender. Martin Atkinson, you mug.

.

IMO, simulation is a bookable offence. The Cardiff player, for reasons best known to himself, had his arms round Salah, so the penalty is a fair decision. The fact that Salah clearly dives though warrants a yellow card. I'm totally sick of ex pros telling us that Refs won't give penalties unless players dive. In my book, a dive is a dive and deserves a card. When a player crashes to the ground in the area the Ref should really have a straight choice between penalty or yellow card for diving, but on very rare occasions I think there's a case for both.

Spot on, you can still dive and get fouled at the same time, Salah should have received punishment or some retrospective action for his antics. I understand though that some players need to over exaggerate contact to get the refs attention but there's exaggerating and blatant cheating which is what Salah did.

The thread title should be changed to the Liverpool thread like the Arsenal one, the let's all laugh at stuff is complete nonsense, said that ages ago.
Nah, then it'll be full of people deep throating them.
Theres already a thread for that.

How have you only just decided?
I've been undecided (or more accurately, uninterested) between Man City's financially doped, fake success and Liverpool's insufferable obnoxiousness... but seeing Liverpool win their umpteenth game by blatantly absurd means has finally tipped my scales towards the Abu Dhabi XI. At least that is meaningless.

Think you've just taken a few months longer than the rest of us to realise that empty success is less painful to stomach than Scouse success. They will truly be insufferable if they win it. I 100% guarantee Toela returns if they do

TBF to Salah he probably had nfi who they were or how they govern.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but if you're in a place like that and the leader who is notorious for "torture and extrajudicial killings" asks you to do something, I think most people would just do it to keep out of trouble.

For example, if I ever find myself in North Korea and Kim Jong-un asks me to take a selfie with him you'd better believe I'm doing it rather than risk being arrested and tortured on some bullshit made-up charge. It's nothing to do with me supporting his leadership, it's about not ending up being sent to some fucking labour camp or whatever. Anyone with any common sense in those places keeps their head down and does what they're told until they can get the fuck out.

I'm decided, I want Citeh to win it now.
I can't for the life of me understand why you'd not want anyone to beat them (OK Arsanal but you get my point)
My life is so much easier when we are above the binnidippers as it stops my mate going on about Salad so much

Why not? they'll always be funny.

Exactly. I don’t relish the idea of Liverpool winning the league, but I’m quite looking forward to all the deluded Rawk posts if they do. They will go completely off the deep end.

Especially if Salah then decides he wants to go to Spain.

basically if they don't win it this season with everything lined up for them (as it did for Leicester), the constant diving/penalties, the wrong decisions, keepers throwing it in their own net (yes hugo i'm looking at you), no injuries, media bias, etc, etc then they never will imo.
