With this lineup, the defense hasn't been doing such a bad job:

According to the BBC 'Liverpool are flying at the minute'
Did I imagine them failing to beat the mighty Watford at the weekend and luckily winning last night thanks to a deflected winner and a missed penalty with some truly shambolic defending?...hardly fucking flying.

I might've misunderstood the sports correspondent and he meant literally on a plane, on their way back from Germany.

I can't believe Klopps managed them for a hundred games now and they've still got exactly the same problems as when Brendan Rodgers left.

What are the 100 game comparisons like between Lady(boy lover) & the Tramp I wonder.

Dean Saunders said on the radio that if they sell Coutinho, they should target Harry Kane AND Dele Alli as Spurs are a selling club because we sold Walker.
An actual human being said that...

Liverpool would need the Coutinho money and would have to steal and sell 8 to 10 million car stereos to get anywhere near cost of Dele and Kane

I think Dean Saunders is on drugs...he's made a few comments this summer that are just plain stoopid.

Whats staggering is he's paid to give these opinions, you'd ridicule someone if they come out with this sort of stuff in a pub....im convinced my dog could give a more balanced view on football, and she's spent the last ten minutes with her nose stuck in an empty pringles tube.

So what are LiverpoolFC if they sell Coutinho. You don't know whether to weep or laugh when you read this stuff from a so called pro.

I don't even think Liverpool are big enough to buy players from us.

They couldn't even buy Dele from MK Dons.

Nah. Still plenty about :shifty:.

Just watched Klopp's latest presser. As a poker player I can confirm he's really bad at lying. Coutinho to Barca is a cert IMHO.

On Rawk there's an argument going on because quite a few posters think they shouldn't sell Coutinho because their first team is better than Barca and would beat them over two legs.
The same first team that couldn't beat Watford.
They're beyond help that lot.

My Liverpool-supporting colleague is obviously mortified about last weekend's result and the Coutinho situation. He thinks they shouldn't waste their money on VVD because the defensive frailties are down to how they play rather than who is playing. He's convinced that they'll turn good defenders into poor ones.

Reasonable opinion. He thinks they'll finish 5th.

He also says that if Coutinho leaves, Liverpool should spend some of the money on Eriksen. Yes, some of the money.

I remember the summer we lost Keane and Berbatov.

I was far more upset about Keane, not because I thought he was the better player but because I'd figured we were already a better team than pool. The cracks were already there to see in the team.

It's just one of those phenomena where no matter what happens, Liverpool's fans will always think they're better than us. We could win the league this year and they be relegated and they will still think they're better than us.....and be able to win the PL the following season.

For how long do they have to finish below us before we even appear on their radar? Is it 7/8 seasons now? Most of them still seem to think they could prize any member of our first 11 away from us without much effort.

If you just watched Liverpool games, then I don't think you'd have particularly rated Tottenham last season.
We did not show any quality at Anfield.
The best thing you can say about it, and it is quite a big positive, is that we did not lose confidence and won the next game well (Stoke) and continued our challenge.
