Rooney scored 27 league goals last season and 35 from 44 games in all competitions. If he's stalling at that level of goal return, I think he'll be alright.I would take him ahead of Suarez, too. I'm just saying I think he has stalled and my feeling on the matter is that he has, in fact, peaked.
Cant see Suarez staying. He will be off ASAP.
Cant say the game here will miss him.
And whats with their love for Lucas btw? They seem to think he is the worlds best DM over there. Cant wait until he is fit and beeing left out of Brazils team due to the much better player Sandro is
Right my turn :
GK - Friedel v Reina - Probably take Reina due to age, but its pretty close.
RB - Walker v Johnson - Walker all ... day ... long ...
CB - Kaboul v Skrtel - Again pretty close but Kaboul has better attributes.
CB - Vertonghen v Agger - Time will tell.
LB - Assou-Ekotto v Enrique - Both similar levels.
CM - Sandro v Lucas - Sandro for me.
CM - Modric v Gerrard - Modric is better hence the imminent move to Real Madrid!
LM - Bale v Downing - Ahem ha-ha, no contest!
RM - Van der Vaart v Henderson - Ahem ha-ha, no contest!
AM - Sigurdsson v Suarez - Even though he is a dirty rotten rat faced scum bag Suarez is a good player & is better than Sigs at this moment.
ST - Adebayor v Borini - Adebayor is double the player Borini is at the moment.
Ah the thugs over at Liverpool just cant help themself can they?
"Liverpool continued pre-season preparations earlier today with a behind-closed-doors friendly with Rochdale Town at Melwood, which was abandoned after 55 minutes as a result of a serious injury to one of the Lancashire club's players.
Rochdale striker Reece Gray suffered a serious ankle injury in the 50th minute of the game**, and it sounds like a major incident, especially given the fact he was rushed to Accident and Emergency for an urgent operation. Reece tweeted from the hospital:
"Thanks for all the messages people. Really appreciate it!.. Jus hope that the op goes well, and should be back playing football soon as!""

Was it Adam by any chance? ...
I liked this one:
"Suarez V Rooney. Suarez all day for me. The guy is so much more skillful than Rooney. Rooney has become slow and cant beat a man. He is well past his best. Suarez is on the up. Advantage Liverpool." I despise Rooney because he is a foul-mouthed little thug, but he is about 4 (wholly arbitrary) levels better than the Mole-Rat - WACKO!
Honestly, they continue to delude themselves while a chasm opens up beneath waiting to swallow them - they delusional comments are so funny I may hurt myself laughing at them. I may have to buy one of those Laughing Sailor machines you used to get at the seaside and at Fairs
If they had any sense, they would be backing Brendan Rodgers, who I actually rate, on an immediate aim of getting back into CL contention (and that is just the contention bit), which I would reckon will take about 3 years - but they are so convinced that they should be challenging for the title and wildly overestimating the quality of the players that they have, that I doubt they will give him more than two. As I said on the thread on the subject, a good manager but a terrible choice of job IMHO.
I have to be honest I can't stand their pretentious moron fans, however they really are not massively important to me, and I think we could well have egg on our face later this coming season.
I think they may do ok this season. Not league challengers but certainly up there competing.
