I liked this one:
"Suarez V Rooney. Suarez all day for me. The guy is so much more skillful than Rooney. Rooney has become slow and cant beat a man. He is well past his best. Suarez is on the up. Advantage Liverpool." :ROFLMAO: I despise Rooney because he is a foul-mouthed little thug, but he is about 4 (wholly arbitrary) levels better than the Mole-Rat - WACKO!

Honestly, they continue to delude themselves while a chasm opens up beneath waiting to swallow them - they delusional comments are so funny I may hurt myself laughing at them. I may have to buy one of those Laughing Sailor machines you used to get at the seaside and at Fairs

If they had any sense, they would be backing Brendan Rodgers, who I actually rate, on an immediate aim of getting back into CL contention (and that is just the contention bit), which I would reckon will take about 3 years - but they are so convinced that they should be challenging for the title and wildly overestimating the quality of the players that they have, that I doubt they will give him more than two. As I said on the thread on the subject, a good manager but a terrible choice of job IMHO.

Liverp.ool are in a similar position to where Newcastle about 10 years back.

Huge wage bill and a declining squad. Huge expectations and the only manager that will be given time is a club legend who does a crap job. At a time they should be rebuilding their fans want marquee signings and title challenges.

It's going to be a long hard season for Liverpool.

The guy on RAWK makes a good point re: Cleverley. It was a pretty poor effort from him not to dislodge Carrick or Scholes. Some might say that he was injured for pretty much the whole season but RAWK are right to point out that this is no excuse.

Cleverley is clearly shit.

Lucas+Gerrard V Xavi+Iniesta Ok Barca have two very good passers here both of whom have won the champions league, european cup and world cup but... neither of them are Lucas. Advantage Liverpool.

Rooney past his best at 26?

Deluded morons. Deluded is too good a word for them, we need to come up with a new word for these clowns.

Ha, I think they are some way off united. I wonder what they think will happen to all the teams that finished between united and them, maybe they'll ask vanish.

Maybe he's not quite past his best but I don't think he's the player we expected him to become. I've had one or two people say to me that they think the fire has gone out somewhat for Rooney. I certainly think he's reached a plateau-which is disappointing, because I actually really liked him as a player.

Maybe he derived special powers from shagging those grannies; powers which have since waned. And if that is the case, there can be only one solution.

You don't mean...send GDS* on regular excursions to the old folks home?:eek::eek:

You may, if wished, substitute David Bentley. No, Jermaine Jenas is not an option - don't think the old dears could cope with all that sidewards penetration :eek::eek:

He's coming into his prime years, I'd not be surprised to see him kick on again. Would certainly prefer him in our side than Suarez any day.

I would take him ahead of Suarez, too. I'm just saying I think he has stalled and my feeling on the matter is that he has, in fact, peaked.

I have to be honest I can't stand their pretentious moron fans, however they really are not massively important to me, and I think we could well have egg on our face later this coming season.

I think they may do ok this season. Not league challengers but certainly up there competing.
