They're coming across as a shambles at the moment, I really think Conte will be gone before Christmas.

The loss of John Terry will be absolutely huge at a time like this as well. As much as a prick he can be you could imagine him taking on the responsibility of at least trying to improve the atmosphere around the place and trying to appease any players who's heads are dropping.

Also just realised Cahill is their captain and the only English player in the squad. How can the fans feel any sort of affinity with this outfit?
Moses is English even though he plays for Nigeria. But I get your point.

Not according to some of the experts last week who were crying about our lack of depth

To be fair I've also seen a few people praising us for not spending and a few people tipping Chelsea to struggle this season as they've lost Costa, Terry and Hazard for a couple of months.

As much as I loathe Costa, it's a bit shit to be fining him £300k for no showing training. The manager can't even have the front to tell him face to face that he doesn't want him so why should he have to bother turning up

He should turn up because he's paid to turn up. I don't blame him, but he can't expect to get paid if he's meant to be there. Or did the club tell him to take time off?

They were going to allegedly make him train with under 23s as well, which is a bit insulting.

I'm actually with Costa in this one, fuck Conte.

I'm not entirely sure why Conte doesn't want Costa in the squad in the first place

Costa might want to go to A.Madrid, that's fine, but at least get the best out of him until then

Costa downed tools last season and tried to engineer a move to China mid season so it's only fair that he's made an example of. People shouldn't feel sorry for Costa at all seeing as he hasn't turned up for training and has no intention to return to the club.

This is what happens when you have a load of firery personalities and egos in your club, they think they'really bigger than the club and will down tools when things don't go their way...it's been a feature of Chelsea for years.

Yea I cannot see why anyone should feel sorry for Costa, the clubs at fault for taking merceneries on and not considering these players personalities when buying.
Long standing problem with 'buying success' clubs really.

This. He's not even getting fined 300 k is he? It's a case of not being paid 300 k for pimping capirinhas in Brazil when you should have been at work.

The man management skills of Poch and Conte are world's apart.
Like the way Poch ditched half the first team squad during his first season after the alleged bust-up? All top managers seem to do stuff like this to a degree, though I do think Conte's taken it to a fairly extreme level.

Was talking more about the Ade situation which is comparable to Costa's. Poch didn't ditch Ade, he tried to integrate him into the team and even made him captain to motivate him when it was clear that he didn't have any use for him.

They haven't even loaned out a load of shit. RLC and Zouma were a regular part of their squads last year. As were Ake and Chalobah who they've sold, whilst Terry was released. Add that to the fact Babayoko and Morata are only replacing Costa and Matic. Their transfer strategy is fucked, because they started with a small squad anyhow.

This is how many PL mins they played last season
RLC - 30mins
Zouma - 245mins
Ake - 98mins
Chalobah - 159mins
Terry - 492mins

The players you listed hardly played a part except for Terry, they signed Rudiger who will pick up Zouma, Terry and Ake's minutes plus more as well as Christensen

So if anything their CB's in Rudiger and Christensen have already played a part

Then you have Chalobah and RLC have, they dont have anyone cover DM but the AM minutes will be picked up by Boga

I'm incredibly suprised by those minutes, I was convinced they would have had more. I thought chalobah/LC made more sub appearances if I'm honest.
However they'll need the squad more this season and shrinking it rather than extending it is intrigueing.

The simple reality is with Chelsea's money and the time they acquired it should have resulted in them being pretty dominant.

Fair play to Chelsea, though...I suppose.

They never let the money change them.

They were classless scum before the Ruskie...they are classless scum now!
