Weird how he doesn’t play Kante as the destroyer and allow Jorginho a little more freedom to create?

Or does Jorginho HAVE to be the sitter to be effective?

Whoever the manager and what ever he says those players will be motivated on Thursday, which is a damn nuisance ?

Apologies if already answered but how is higuain eligible to play the second leg if he wasn't eligible to play in the first leg? That was always the rule that only those who were available for the first were only available for the second leg.

The football gods hate us. ?

Chelsea signing Higuain and him being allowed to play in the second leg, which we take a lead into, while we lose our whole front line to injury/international duty... well, it seems to neatly sum up our luck in recent years.

Hoping Poch and whoever is still standing for us perform miracles on Thursday! Positive thoughts, positive thoughts...

Chelsea often do well with money recouped from player sales. They have a knack for negotiating a good sale.

That’s still a £20million loss. We still can’t really afford to take those kind of hits which is why Levy still demands silly prices for dross such as Janssen

Only if it were a replay situation would he not be eligible.

If it is a scheduled 2 legs as part of the comp, did not have to be eligible for the 1st leg.

Not sure if mentioned, but Wednesday before noon is the deadline for him to play against us
I'd be surprised if its finalised in the next 20 mins so no Higuian on Thursday.

We still going to need to park the Poch Bus for this one and try and nick something on the counter.

As has been pointed out on the General Transfers thread, Defoe played for us in the 2009 semi final 2nd leg against Burnley, despite joining us after the 1st leg, so we have actually benefitted from the rule in the past.
