Lucas needs more time. He has a lot of potential but it's a matter of duration that he's lacking right now. At the moment he's dynamite with the ball at his feet - he can go through the gears so quick and smoothly but he comes alive when the ball is played to him. His off the ball movement in attack needs to improve (in fairness his tracking back is good).

Azza in his prime was lethal. Our wingers were our strongest weapon in Harry's last 2 seasons.

I’ve never understood the love in for Lennon. Average player, poor record and shot that couldn’t tear a tissue in half.

Moura was the better player the day he joined.

I seem to remeber a left footed strike tearing a hole in chelsea hearts...:D

Peak Lennon was awesome...Peak Moura should prove even better. Moura's goals give him the obvious edge.

I'd take Moura any day ATM..

I have a lot of time for Lennon, but in terms of footballing ability, Lucas definitely is the superior player.

well Lucas has already matched Lennon's career high for league goals in a season and its only December. I was a big Lennon fan but its pretty obvious who is the more polished player.

The counter argument to that would be that Lennon was on the right of something more closely resembling a 4-4-2

Moura has a more central, and attacking role.

But yeah, I don't disagree that Moura is a more accomplished player

Lennon was a one trick pony who never improved the other parts of his game IMO.

Pace was pretty much his only asset and I don't think he made the most of his talent tbh.

I loved Lennon, a proper bums off seats type of player.

Think people are being a bit harsh on him personally, although if you take all aspects of the game Moura is a better all round player, particularly in terms of shooting and goal output. Can head the ball very well too. Lennon was actually an underrated finisher close in, but due to him hugging the touchline most of the time he rarely got in those positions. And of course he also had a shot resembling a six year old girl.

Thing is though, Lennon was of an era of orthodox wingers and 4-4-2's and one of his main faults would appear to be his receptiveness to coaching. He had a bucket load of ability and who knows how he would have developed under Poch or another coach if he'd been more willing to adapt his game and had a better attitude. He was a decent passer of the ball and his first touch was actually superb (better than Moura's actually imo).

I definitely agree he didn't make the most of his ability and just when it a seemed he might fulfil more of his potential he just became predictable, with defenders just showing him on the outside and it got to the point he didn't even seem to want to take his fullback on.

Lennon was great when he was pelting down the line pinging crosses in. Thing is he stopped doing that and kept on trying to cut inside.

There was a point where he stopped even doing that. Just used to stop and lay it off.

I think the development of Walker hampered his game as they used to get in each others space. Lennon was much more effective with Chimbonda and particularly Corluka. Those two dove tailed very nicely on the right hand side.

Love Lennon, #9 dream in particular...

Sorry wrong Lennon.

Always frustrated with his end product be it the killer cross or the amount of times he’d get in the box.

Probably the last of the good english wingers before the game moved on to wingbacks supplying the width. I always felt his international career was hindered by playing in front of glen Johnson.

I think Moura has a higher ceiling.

Lennon was an interesting player. At 18 he had one of the best turns of pace with close control I have seen in a player.

As a young player we forgave his lack of an end product hoping it would come in time,it didn't.

He seemed to lose a little pace and I believe he gets the respect he does partly due to him changing his game, chasing back and covering defensive areas. This made our team more balanced and allowed Bale to play all out attack.

But overall Lennon was a good player who never quite got to the level of attacking threat we all wanted.

Moura certainly offers a goal threat, work rate and a desire.

Not really in a position to compare them. We're a different team with a different system now.
