They were our 2 most lethal weapons second half of last season. Now they are more like blunt instruments. Berbatov doesn't care and Lennon seems to have lost everything. lots of criticism of our goalkeepers, defenders and CM's. But when you have 2 players capable of terrorising defences but who are not showing up it is not surprising we struggle. On the lennon isssue it is clear to me that it just won't work to play Lennon and Bale as the wide men in a 4-4-2 since we have no real ballwinner and no effective playmaker in CM. Bale has been our best player so as long as he stays fit I can only see Lennon as a sub and on present form that is all he merits.
I mostly agree.but the others must show there worth aswell.:-|

You having a laugh?

I thought Lennon looked alright when he came on against Newcastle. He's easing himself back in, it's tenuous in the extreme to heap any blame on him for this season. You might as well blame King, cos he's done fuck all.

You want to be concentrating on our limp wristed central midfield, Chimbo, Kaboul, Daws and Robbo who all seem to have grown mild forms of narcolepsy.

As someone previous has mentioned, we've banged in over 20 goals already, Keane's on fire. When Berba gets some decent service he'll be off and flying. His laid back attitude wasn't a problem last year was it? Attacking isn't the issue.

It's the supply to the front men, or lack of it, which is killing our confidence up front.

Only Keane, who drops off and makes his own opportunities, is standing out on end product right now.

We need Jenas and Zokora, Tainio and the wing backs to set up more opprortunities. We need the same men to defend appropriately and assist the CDs on set plays.

Not much really but a little tweak and some club is gonna get hit big time soon.

You cant blame Berbs for not wanting to play for us. We're playing the crap long ball tactics, and if I were a wizard-on-the-ball kind of player like him, I wont be happy at all as well. So dont blame Berbatov. Blame the other 10 players on the pitch!

Oh yes, poor darling only gets paid £40k odd a week. Maybe he should be player / manager so he can pick the tactics he likes? If he's not happy then he should do something about it. Maybe, just maybe, he needs to learn to adjust his game from time to time, like every other player has to.

Don't get me wrong, I would love him to be all he can be for Spurs, but I don't understand why he gets so much special dispensation from so many fans. If pretty much anyone else in our squad had acted like Berbs did on Monday, they'd be slaughtered on here. Berbs is part of the team, he is not the team.

I blame the pretty much whole team. The only players with any credit so far this season for me are Keane and Bale.

I still stand by Berbs, as he has shown that he does have it. Just because I am critical of his apparent present attitude, doesn't mean I'm not behind him every time he pulls on the shirt.
What I am saying is that if his (again, apparent) attitude doesn't improve, then we are better off without him. I'm not talking about his 'languid' style either. I can cope with that.

In fact, I wouldn't be at all surprised if he played an absolute stormer tonight, as I think he will start, and he now has a point to prove, which hopefully will kickstart him, will rub off on everyone else and we'll go on a 30 game unbeaten run to storm into 4th place by May. Berbs will then sign a 5 yr contract and all will be rosy.

I can dream can't I?

Disagree about lennon. He's been injured and played on the left.

Even if true, you deserve everything you get if you're depending on a 20 year old.

I would say the one player who has let us down more than any other, and who should know better, is Chimbonda.

The man is meant to be a professional, wether it is true or not about there being a rift between him and Jol, the footage clearly showed that he was reluctant to come on and play.

If he is going to have this attitude, then why would we really want him playing? The man's ability is amazing but if he is only going to put in quarter effort, and cause rifts within the team, then its time to go....

Sorry for me Spurs has always been about players that love the club that want to be here, and play for us.....Spurs is more then Berbatov, always has and always will be.....one man does not maketh the team. Some of you to hear you speak would paint that Berbatov single handedly saved us, forgotton how many goals that both Defoe and Keane scored last season.

I can't believe I'm going to say this but I agree with Harry Redknapp's comments about Berbatov. If this is his attitude to playing then he can forget his big move to Man Utd because Ferguson doesn't want players that sulk and play for themselves.

Berbatov is our best player but if he doesn't perform then he is too blame. The long ball tactics excuse can't be used because Keane is performing.

Last season, Eto'o refused to warm up when Rijkaard told him to do it. So, do you think that Alex F. would not go for Eto'o because of that fact? What Redknapp writes is bad for Spurs, not for Berbatov. For such talk sharpens the conflict between Jol and Berbatov and may create conflict between Berbatov and fans, as a result of which he will be sold at a cut price.
