High praise indeed.
From my own judgement of CCV he reads the game very well - especially for one so young. One thing I am not sure about is his pace. He seems to be no slouch but Ledley had the raw pace to get himself out of trouble when he really needed it (which wasn't that often). Always remember that tackle against Huckerby (I think) when Ledley must have made up about 10 yards on him in next to no time and tackled him just as he was about to pull the trigger.

This is why you don't buy players like Michael Keane or Toby Maguire, trust Poch, he knows what he's doing.

There will never be another Ledley King. I hope one day we'll get someone half as good but I doubt it.

I think you're possibly thinking about when it was Spurs v Chelsea at the Lane

CCV is from my home town of Southend-on-Sea and was a star of just about every sport his school put him in for. He is just a natural athlete. His old school is just up the road from my house and the playing fields where he played for his junior team are virtually at the back of my house too. There used to be quite a buzz about this kid who 'Was with Spurs' and stood out from everyone else so I obviously took an interest in him from an early age. You can see by this report from the Southend paper how he excelled at just about everything he put his mind to.

Great personal review from someone who has watched him develop.

Does sound like he is quite the all round athlete. When I've seen him play I've always thought he had natural ability and confidence so really hope we do have another future 'Ledley' in our ranks!
