Vorm dropes a clanger and we lose. How does mp justify not picking one of the best gk in the world because of sentimentality.

This is business, it's not personal.

Cerny played in the 5-1 arse semi then Robbo played in the final. Best 11 for me

Who do I think will start
and who do I think should start.
Well I agree with myself here:
Michel Vorm.
Unless an agreement was made at the start
for Hugo to play if we reached the final.
I believe that Mauricio will play fair with the squad otherwise.

Fairness can be defined differently.

Hugo has been the longest at the club of the two, and even if he hasn't done a lot in this very competition, he has paid his dues as far as "deserving" a cup final goes. So, it's fair to him to start him.

We are facing the best team in the country at the moment. It is fair to them to start our best players.

The fans crave a good performance and a real go at bringing home a trophy. It's fair to us to line up the best players.

So in fairness, Hugo must and will start.

I find it bemusing that we have a genuine opportunity to win a major trophy and some people would be fine with us willingly handicapping ourselves.

Lloris got to play in the Final. Levy won't forgive Poch if we were to lose because of a Vorm clanger.

If we could fucking defend we wouldn't need to worry so much who plays in goal. But sadly we are pretty woeful without the ball and will most certainly need Lloris not only in goal but to be on top form.

It's a Cup final and we shouldn't be considering, even for a picosecond, putting out less than our very strongest team available. Agree with @Good Doctor M - if Lloris is fit and available to play on 1st March and doesn't get selected then I'll be calling for Pochettino to be sacked. Serious as a heart attack on that one.

Last week Vorm had been pretty faultless in his games for us so far, and so if that had carried on I wouldn't have really been that bothered about him starting the cup final if that was the plan from the start.

However he's looked a bit shaky in the last two games (with one major error), and what he probably needs is a run of games to get himself into top form/confidence and build an understanding with the defence. As this almost certainly isn't going to happen I've changed my mind... Hugo to start.

Anything in the rules about playing them both?
Could play a half each.
Now we can argue who plays the first half.
I say Vorm.

Nicely argued.
Not a lawyer are you by any chance.
Now prove black is white as an encore.

It's not even a case of who's the better keeper it's that the whole way we play is affected, ok the gap is significantly smaller than stay at home Brad but it's still noticeable.

I think Vorm will start and I think that would be a very bad decision we are playing Chelsea our first string players aren't as good as chelsea's players let alone the second string players. First final in 6 years so it's not like we get here often, fuck putting players in the side because you don't want to hurt their feelings by leaving them out. This is business, nobody would ever play an in form Dawson over King when he was available.

Its a cup final.

Play your best team.

Lloris is obviously part of that.

Why is it even a debate.

What if we win with Vorm in goal?
