All depends what has been said, if Poch has said to Vorm your my cup keeper (which I think he has) he should play. Thats what I get from his comments before the Sheffield game.

Lloris is the first choice keeper no doubt, but breaking promises to players isn't a particularly good idea. Would be intresting to see Lloris' opinion on it as they are a very close set of players and he seems a diplomatic kind of guy.

Before Leicester-Sheffield I would have said, trust in Vorm, he's done nothing wrong.

But, if he can't handle those players (though not all his fault) then he will get killed against Chavski.

So many good points being made in here. I can't really decide. If we do the right thing Vorm should start for me, but I seriously want to win this and my heart says I want Lloris in goal. Would feel terrible for Vorm though, as I know what it feels like to be dropped in a final. It's heart breaking!

Don't mind. Lloris is a better keeper, but Vorm has got us this far and would be gutted for him if he missed out. Heart says Vorm, head says Lloris.

Have a feeling he'll pick Vorm, but it will be a terrible decision imo.

We're playing the best team in the country in our first cup final for 6 years. Lloris is the best keeper in the country and he has to play.

Both will want to play in the cup final, and both will be disappointed if they don't play.

I'm sure the manager will pick his best available team for this particular match, bearing in mind we have something like 4 games over that 11 day period, the whole squad will need to be ready to do their bit, as this isn't the season end by far!

There are lots of games around then. I think Vorm will play in Italy and we'll see Lloris start at Wembley.

I reckon he'll pick Vorm but it should be Lloris as he is the better keeper and we need our best players on the pitch. I agree it will be very harsh on Vorm if he doesn't start.

Also worth adding that Vorm has played some absolute blinders in his career.

I think Brad should play. More experience than those other 2 whippersnappers put together :pompous:

It's a Cup final. You play your best 11, end of story. Poch isn't daft. If Vorm plays, then quite seriously, Poch should be fucking sacked. But Lloris will be playing, I don't have a doubt in my mind about that.

The idea that Poch would have within him some conjured up sense of strange loyalty for Vorm, a loyalty which would blind him to the reality that IT'S A FUCKING CUP FINAL, is absurd to me.

We've seen that Poch doesn't care about who you are or what you've done. You play if you're the best person for the job. It'll be Lloris.

Why would you put out anything but your best side in a cup final?

This. I think some people are confusing us with a top club who regularly win trophies. Man Utd, City, Chelsea and to a lesser extent Arsenal have been able to play more fringe players in these finals because they have bigger fish to fry. And in Mourinho's case, even this hasn't stopped him from putting his best team out in the final of this competition.

Anything other than Lloris playing is just lessening our chances of winning it, in a game on which we are already big underdogs.

It's a no brainer for me.

Friedel.

Seriously though, as it most likely will be Vorm we should keep Lloris on the bench. When Costa pokes his eye out or pulls his hair, we need someone top class and not approaching the state pension age to come on.

I cant even believe this is being discussed. there is no room for sentiment here. Its a bloody cup final, play your best side end of. this isn't Sheffield utd or Leicester (which tbh, vorm didn't cover himself in glory in, even though I do think he is a decent keeper).

without Lloris we probably wouldn't have even beat Chelsea recently. if he doesn't start I will be royally pissed off.

I would imagine that Vorm would make it easy for Poch. He knows he's not #1

It's who people think will start not who should start. Even the latter is debateable but I agree it should be Lloris.
