The article seems awfully impressed that we're calling a lounge the Hotspur Suite and branding it with a bit of hokey heritage dolled up with a swipe of lipstick. I mean, it's not exactly inventing fire.

Bet The Man City chairman will be raging with jealousy and demanding the heads of any player valued at less than £50m. This is unacceptable.

I simply don't get it.
The game does not suit those who only want to take a half interest, as it is unpredictable when the key moments are going to happen.
Horse racing or NFL are better as there are long gaps between the action sequences.
You can take a long lunch break for hours in a cricket game, and you'll not miss anything.

The game is only 90mins - is is really necessary for people to have a 3 course meal in the middle of it?

Usually you have 2 courses and drinks before a match. Watch the 1st half. Cheese and biscuits and drinks at half time, back out for the 2nd half then more drinks after. It's a day out, not 90 minutes.
