In addition to our usual SC Predictor Competition, we are going to run a Last Man/Standing Competition this season.

Starting it a little early but the Euros are over and it's only a month until the season starts really.

Sign up here. (y)

Rules as follows:

1) One entry per person.
2) Choose one team per week to win. This team can not be chosen again.
3) if your selection wins you are through to the next round. If they lose or draw you are out.
4) each entrant will get 2 lives(2 chances to be wrong but still in the competition, the teams that you have selected on these weeks can not be used again)
5) selections must be submitted by no later than 1 hour before the first game of the weekend is due to kick off. Any selections posted after this will not be included and you will lose a life/be knocked out.

Going to try to organise some vDollars with Houdini/A&C.

Fun stuff.

I did this on another board, using EPL, La Liga, Bundesliga, Seria A, and Ligue 1. We had slightly different rules - you had 3 lives, a draw did not cost you a life, but you had to pick two teams the next week, and the team you picked that drew could not be picked again (too many draws and you eat up a lot of teams). I think we only had about 30 players, and the winner was decided about week 30.

I guess i'll try it out. Will we get a mention to remind us because i will inevitably forget to pick...

I'm in.

Last time I played one of these we all got a point for the first correct selection, then if your selection in week two was right you got two points, in week three four points, and you kept doubling points until your side lost or drew at which point you could select any side again and would start on one point again.

If it's two lives in this competition I'll probably be out of the game by week three or four.

Right: Rules are fine almost the same as Paddy Powers LMS.
