He showed some nice touches, here and there and that one euro game at home ...he played really well.
Just think the WHOLE move to London .....and the style of the prem was just too much for him.

Personally I think if hes earnt some more English and got his fitness levels up I have a feeling he's going to have a GREAT season for us and show us why we paid that money for him.
Expecting him and Eriksen to be two of the three behind Ade ( or new striker ).

If I recall Ronaldo was crap when he first came to utd ....it took him several seasons to get going .....everyone was laughing at all his step overs.....look how that turned out.

No idea what his impact will be next season,
but should definitely get a chance to establish himself
under a sympathetic manager.
Talk of off-loading him is madness at this stage
for both player and club.

I fully believe Lamela will come good this season. A fellow countryman as gaffer will certainly help him settle and grow in confidence

I personally think he'll come good. He'll get into doubles figures with assists and goals next season and then improve in the following seasons.

Some fans are too quick to judge. Sandro, as many remember, had a mare of a first season and is now a fans' favourite. I have no doubt that both Lamela and Soldado will prove their quality this season!

This is a bit of a myth. Whilst he wasn't the full force of nature he is now, he was still clearly a hugely talented player.
What he was I the early days was a weak diver.

When you look at some of the things being said about Lamela, there is so much expected from him. He was widely expected to be our salvation last season. I think we should not expect him to have a 20-goal season, and just try to be patient with him and enjoy watching him play. Anything else at this stage would be asking too much of the lad. Its clear he has settling problems, and expecting fans do not lighten the load.

Lamela just needs a manager and the fans to give him time to adjust to our team and build his confidence. He has amazing talent and can become a real world class player for us but likely his confidence took a nock. While I was a little disappointed Poch got the job over a top manager, I do think he is the type of manager that can bring out the best in players and get Lamela and Soldado fired up.
