Can we stop this 'hilarious' chant now? It was funny for 15 seconds against West Ham. Now for some reason it's become our go to song that's rolled out in every game. Like against West Brom and they scored 2 minutes later. And yesterday for us to lose in humiliating fashion. Why is it some of our fans forget we're Spurs and any sign of arrogance like that will immediately see our fortunes nose dive. Really strange.

Exactly my thoughts, funny against West Ham, cringe inducing ever since, not funny, clever or even catchy in the slightest

This really really winds me up, why sing it when it's 0-0 ffs! I can understand against West Ham, 3-0 up against your rivals it's a bit of a piss take. But then we do it at 0-0 & 1-0 against Chelsea, West Brom and Newcastle and proceed to fuck up and have it sung back at us against the latter two. Not only that I think it makes us look arrogant and bit ****y tbh. I hope after yesterday that'll put an end to this and "you're fucking shit", unless we're smashing one of our rivals.

Agree, that unless we're smashing someone it's stupid thing to sing.

That said, I think a lot of it yesterday was people filling in with the 'you're shit' to the Geordies chanting their version of the song.

At least they are singing and not sitting mute, which happens all too often in the ground. Agreed there is a time and a place to sing something like that. Rather than abusing people for singing how about offering something that adds to the atmosphere in the ground for a change?

Yeah it's shit. Proper two bob

Some of our fans were getting very carried away. We kind of deserved to get our arse handed to us to regain a bit of humility

It's such a Spurs trait to think we've made it when there's loads more left to do - fans and players

I think the commentary team banjaxed us when after we scored they mentioned we were 1-0 up last year and they won 2-1 ...

And so it began.

Lol it was quality against west ham but we were like 4-0 up and even then I thought it was risky...

I remember on Sunday shouting at the TV and saying please shut when they started chanting that song. Why the hell do we want to wind up our opponents which will only make them play stronger?

I preferred when it was all under the radar. Not just the players are getting cocky, but so are the fans and then you see the result. A lacklustre performance against Newcastle. I hope this is a reality check and the fans learn to keep their mouth shut!

Let the players do the talking on the pitch, not shitty chants which are going to just piss off the opposition.

1 rendition when we have BEATEN top opposition is quite sufficient. Not when we're 0-0 with a struggling club.

The Geordies always sing it, they started singing it we responded with our version and they carried on all game. Either way the song is rubbish but our support on Sunday was pathetic, it was such a big game and we the crowd didn't play their part, anyways onto the next one.
