Hey everyone,

Hope you're all well.

Today we have written a piece looking at why Walker-Peters isn't ready to challenge Trippier despite an impressive performance against Newcastle over the weekend.

"One promising appearance aside, however, there is a long way to go for Walker-Peters – something he acknowledged on Sunday. His display on Tyneside was composed and professional but hardly breathtaking, and came as part of an almost-unchanged Spurs side, facing a newly-promoted team playing with ten men for 40 minutes."

Walker-Peters isn't ready to rival Trippier.

Hope you enjoy.

Cheers,

Sam

Misquotes Poch even though Poch himself has clarified those pre-Newcastle comments, and is just generally wrong.

lol I love the bit where KWP says he wants to work on his crossing and Kieron and Kyle have given him lots of advice - he then goes on to say Kieron is very good at crossing and Kyle is very strong (whilst thinking that yeah but he's fucking shit at crossing :playful::playful:).

It's not much of a gamble to say a 20 year old isn't ready for the premier league yet, not very many are. However he is very close and I am sure he will get time and mature as the season goes on. Poch will get it right.

My concern is more about Trippier not being ready to play defensively against top teams with wingers that have pace and strength. While Tripper is better in the final 3rd than Walker was, Walker IMO is a better and more physical defender.
