I've never been sure why we need a technical director. If Baldini wasn't there how would we know? He hardly seems to justify replacing when it's a mystery why he's with us at all.

I agree we did business last summer but I've never been clear who did that business. Was selling Bale and buying seven players Baldini's idea or AVB's idea, or Levy or someone else at the club? From what's happened since it looks like Sherwood isn't happy with every signing so I'm assuming Capoue wasn't his idea. I wish we had a boss who bought the players he wanted and if we had that we wouldn't need Baldini. To me it almost looks like it's done by committee.

It is a team effort and Baldini's role is to be the facilitator in deals, judging by the quality of the signings irregardless of their success he did a great job.
