This would be good.....

-----------kameni------------

----Woodgate----Jarque------

Alves-------King-----------Bale

-------Diarra---Gattuso--------

-----------Modric--------------

-------Eto'o----Keane----------

5-3-2 style with King just ahead of the 2 centre backs.

Good....yeah.......perhaps we can ask our mad Russian neighbour for the loan of the money!!............Alves!!

No, no, no, no, noooooooooo!!!!

King should always play at the back where he is way superior and also provides us with a nice tidy passer at the back.

We should be looking at bring a specialist defensive midfielder in (Diarra) not sticking one of the best centre backs around in a position he doesn't like anywhere near as much as playing at the back.

Gomes

Hutton Woodgate King Bale

Lennon Modric Diarra Capel

Berbatov / E'too Keane

OR

Gomes

Hutton Woodgate King Bale

Modric Jenas Diarra Capel

Berbatov / E'too Keane

I very really speak on this Forum, only usually say something if someone else hasnt already said it, or if someone is factually incorrect. It was only an idea, I wasnt sure if it was even a good idea myself, and from everyones opinions on board it was a stinker of an idea! I Must admit now i think about it, it really only does make sense to play him at Centre back next season,

Back to the drawing board then. Now just to hope Ramos identifies that Zokora needs replacing.

Sorry but McGregor and Jarque and worse players than Cerny and Kaboul. No where near good enough for our current first 11, let alone next season's.

because fans don't think some players are good anymore, fans tend to think that anyone is better. just replace zokora with some guy we were linked with and replace cerny and robinson with scotland's back-up keeper and we'll win everything next season.

so i agree. we need to be upgrading. not replacing an average player with a.....another average player.

True, but I can understand why people would put Kaboul forward as a potential DM. His technique and physicality would be perfect there and he would be less likely to make really costly mistakes.

No he wouldn't, because his distribution is crap, his positioning is questionable & he's never played there in his career.

WHY ARE WE TRYING TO PLAY GOD????

Zokora has been a nailed-on starter since his return from the ACN. Which suggests what?

Zokora appears to be becoming much more competent in his defensive duties recently. So perhaps with someone like Modric playing just infront of him and a fully fit back 4 behind him, he may finally be able to concentrate on, and do the job that he was supposedly bought for > defensive midfielder

yeah i noticed that, and at first when he came back from ACN i though i saw an improvement, but ultimately our results tell the story, we are still letting in too many goals and are useless away from home. I really hope we will get a replacement, as he is no hargreaves, carrick, obi mikel, makelele, diarra, barry, or mascherano just to name a few DMs that are much better.

FFS !!!
Why is every team posted on here all foreign now? The team above only has Ledley and woody as englishman.
We are Tottenham, not the ar%e, and hence i do not want us to become a foreign team.
And for those of you who say english players are not good enough there are plenty of top quality players. We have a few, villa have a few and there are plenty more iin the lower leagues as well.
I think to be successful we will still need a core of Englishmen, complemented by top quality foreigners.

King will not be part of our first choice back four next season. Any coach will want a settled back four and that cannot include King as he is not going to be available for selection a sufficient amount of the time. If he remains at the club next season, and I do not think Ramos is particularly keen on having injured players knocking around, then he will have to settle for whichever position is available.

It is a mistake to think Ramos has the same loyalty as fans do to legends such as King or Keane. Doubtless he recognises their ability, but that does not guarantee them a place in his plans.

King when fit is one of if not the best c.h.'s in the country, and playing him as a d.m. is not the answer and would be worse for his knees. We have to try and bring in a player who is a d.m and has the scars to prove it.
