He would be a brilliant signing as a backup to Kane...But a loan deal is never on IMO. Can't see this happening .

Interesting.

Such a well-written piece though:

Atletico would rather sell Gameiro as they have too many forwards and he is at an agreement where his transfer value will start to drop dramatically.

I'm not saying this is gonna happen but I've seen loads about how gameiro wants to leave to pretty much anywhere to try and get game time for the World Cup, if we offered a loan with game time late in the window I could see them accepting.

Heck a few weeks ago he was supposed to be considering Swansea

Worth pointing out that The Sun were pretty reliable with Spurs transfers in the summer.

I can't see how he will be in French World cup squad, given he played just 1 game for them in 2017 and just 13 since 2010. I dont see a realistic ambition with the current crop of French players.

At 30, he may look for his last big contract. If he wants to move, I only see a permanent move. And dont think it would be to us.

That's cold. I even checked his FIFA 18 card, and now you're saying it's off

I think he will rather go somewhere he will be first option.
It's the smartest thing for him to do.

Go be the #1 on loan somewhere to showcase yourself and probably get a better move in the summer off of the back of that.

Poor guy is perpetually being transferred in the media. He'll fit in well at THFC if he comes.

Tottenham are plotting a last-minute raid for Atletico Madrid’s Kevin Gameiro — to give Harry Kane some badly-needed help.

Spurs have tipped off the striker’s camp that they would be interested in a loan move if the Frenchman is not sold.

Whenever the media refer to a 'player's camp', I picture an area with a load of tents and a fire. What picture comes into the minds of my fellow SC posters?

Decent player but he needs service, this team doesn't mesh well with poachers.

If a players camp I imagine him to be mincing about. No homo
